Like it or not, Vince Young wins games
Hate on the guy all you want, doesn't he have a 20-12 record as a QB? And hasn't he won 2 straight after the Titans went 0-6, throwing no pics in that span?
I'm sorry, I just can't stand when people do nothing but bash the guy for his performance in the NFL thus far. He obviously hasn't lived up to his potential, but not many offensive players in that draft class have (*cough* Leinart *cough*). I think if he gets his mental act together he can make an impact for the Titans for a few years to come.
And when it comes to big games, he's proven to come through in the clutch. The Giants game his rookie season showed he can do it against NFL teams too, but only time will tell if he'll have his chance with the Titans as his team. They're playing alot more motivated now with a much better outlook on winning.
And let's not forget the greatest single-game performance of all-time in college football history:
Regardless of his success this season, I'll still be supporting him. Unlike half the fairweather fans that watch NFL games.

Could it instead be that Chris Johnson has rushed for 363 yds and 4 TDs over that two game span, and the defense has stepped up? No! It must be that Vince Young and his career QB rating of 69.5 are responsible.

it's pretty painful to watch him at times, but his career record as a starter is worth noting (as is comp %, td-int, qb rating) that being said i think he will end being a decent qb later in his career.

Ever thought that defenses have to prepare differently for Vince Young rather than Collins, thus opening up the run game better for Johnson?

True to that. It's tough to gameplan for arguably the best RB in the league and one of the most dynamic.
That's four in a row, haters. What would've happened if Young started the season? The fact remains that the team plays behind him and not Collins this year. They gave up after a few losses.

Agreed. Obviously it's not all Vince Young that's turning the team around, but you have to admit that he's been a great game manager, which is all you need when you're the Titans. You have a great RB, great defense, just manage the game and be a leader, and that's what Vince has done.
Also, does anyone think that Titans O-line has gone a little downhill? Not the blocking in general necessarily, as I did see some good downfield blocks by receivers and backs, but I saw Young take more shots to the face than Jenna Jameson tonight. That interior line is not looking good IMO.

You'll get no argument from me that Young is better than Collins. That doesn't make him good. He appears to be improving though, so good for him.

LOL @ people who cite Vince's record and then people who bitch when someone says Tom Brady's won 3 Superbowls, calling it "team effort."

Believe me, I'm not comparing VY to Tom Brady. Not even close. I'm just saying the dude has talent and still has a ton of potential, it's ridiculous at times to see the hate the guy gets.

No no, I know what you're saying. But you'll see from the hundreds of Brady v Manning threads whenever someone mentions that Brady has won 3 Superbowls, there will be many that object stating "its a team game." Well if its a team game in that respect, then citing VY's record as a starter is also pointless.
Just something I've noticed. Carry on.
