Sorry for the loss of your beloved ride but glad you could walk away from it. From my experience, it will be totalled. You could negotiate to repurchase it but it would be salvage titled for future buyers. Good luck with everything coming out okay.

Damn "Nitro" that sucks. I parked next to your camaro a couple times last week. I should have been working out at the gym at work instead of Charter that night.
I'm just glad everyone walked away from that accident. I hate driving in Rio Rancho it's flat out dangerous.

LOL - Tell me about it. I have never seen so many drivers just cut thru intersections with no regard to the other drivers coming in the opposite direction. I have seen way too many close calls.

First of all - I'm glad you are OK. The car was well equipped and the gizmo's did their job - keeping YOU safe. You're not replaceable - the car is.
I wouldnt get too tied up on the feelings of doom etc - we all have them, but they dont mean anything and if you live your life by them, you'll find yourself skipping work and other key activities because of irrational fear of things that are statistically unlikely to happen. If you have a feeling of doom alot - when it does happen, that certainly doesnt mean the feeling saved you, just coincidence
I tend to be alert to possible risks all the time (being in Risk as a job) and I find that's a good idea. Does make me a nervous driver sometimes though !
Best wishes ! (and a swift kick in the knackers for the basserd who drove without insurance!)

Very true. I meant it more as I have had premonitions a couple other times in my life but about other things and not death. Kind of like gut feelings about certain situations. This is the first time I can say I had one like this though.
LOL - Also believe me I had a lot of restraint from kicking him in the nads myself. I got out of my car with the intention of dragging him out of his vehicle and beating the crap out of him for being so stupid. When I walked up to his vehicle and saw he was slumped over I thought the worst so that feeling quickly went away. Was glad to see he was also alright. He came up to me later and apologized and I told him not to sweat it at least we can both walk away and aren't hurt. It could have been a lot worse.

You're clearly a very philosophical guy - which is probably a good thing considering you're 250lbs !
We should have colour co-ordinated cars i.e. Red = I'm enormous and can kill you with one hand or Blue = I'm not enormous but quite psychotic so give me a wide birth...
but I may be disgressing now...

I survived a heavy car crash in 1978 and wasn't back to work full time until 1983. I'm still piecing together the details of that night.
You did good by having a weird feeling before it. I've has minor car accidents since the big one and each time they were preceded by close calls in the weeks before. Now when I have those, I'm extra careful and I believe that I've escaped some scrapes doing so. It pays to pay attention to your 6th sense.
