I've been doing a lot moar band work, feels good man. I need to order another light band for squats and deads.

Try band pullups, band crunches, band pull aparts. Or anything xan does, he's the band master.

I already get looks all the time for the weird **** I do and the heavy deadlifts...

Mini bands aren't gonna cut it for you?(on squats)

Im only gonna use them for speed squats so I think it will be enough.

its a little complicated knowing where to put the bands and crap though. For example where do you put them when you're doing crunches. ?

Bands are the shizz.

Put one on the top of a lat tower when doing band crunches and then you do them standing.

Nice box squats Zach, I may begin doing DE box squats with a ton of band tension from now on instead of 5/3/1 squats. New article posted by Mr. Tate has a ton of progressions.

Where Do you guys think I should put the band
Around? Like near my feet? Or directly under where the bar is racked?

If you are referring to squats, then by the feet is best, so that when you step back, the bands are aligned with the midline of your body.

Don't have any mini-bands and I already have one light band.

Just experiment with how things feel, set up the bar with the bands and experiment different setups.

For crunches, I use the smith machine, choke the band overhead, and use the smith bar to brace the back of my legs against.

Thanks brah, good to have you.

Today, military + accessory. Did seated DB press instead, haven't done them since my pec injury and really missed em.

Seated DB Press
35x15
45x5
55x5
65x5
75x3

Incline DB Press
70x3x5

Band Pullup
LBx4x6

DB Spider Curl
25x12
30x10
30x10

DB Kennelly's
30x3x12

Straight Arm Pulldowns
35x15
65x2x15

Forearm Roller
10x2
10x2x1.5

Foam Rolling

Good workout, I used to love doing seated DB presses, haven't done in forever. I couldn't stabilize the 75's, but I could have pressed em for at least 5 reps. Was supposed to 95x5, 110x5, 125xmax on military, so I think I did fine with DB presses.

Like I said, my pressing is whack, lol.

I should have been stronger on the inclines...On the seated DB's I was touching my shoulders, so not just till 90*.

I choke the band at the base of the pullup station in front of me, and the band goes over my yoke, feels good man.

Forgot to mention, sweet pertater + Chaos = Epic Pump. Won the AI Chaos in a contest, pretty good stuff.

Because I ****ing hate when the bar rolls away.

It's more modified/sumo than either, I pull weird. I used to be a strong conv puller, but switched to sumo for safety's sake. The plates bounce all over the place, so I have to reset everything pretty much every rep, I rather just roll the bar into my shins and pull.

1. No arch at the beginning.
2. Torso is not upright.
3. Not fukkin the bar into lockout.

I need to set up better, get tighter, stay upright, then hump the bar home. So do this when you try.

oh yeah I definitely saw those things wrong on the vid . I was just talking about the octagon plates.

Sumo setup still feel weirds for me though. Still need practice.

And on another subject, how is your squatting style?

lol ya I was confused and asnwered both.

I squat almost as wide as I pull with a lot of back use. I've been watching some vids and gonna try and work on my form some more this friday, that's why I've been squatting to a box lately.

Ah I see. So its definitely power style based.

and back to deadlifts. I watched the video on my phone, how far do you point your toes out? Because I don't know if it was the quality, but your feet looked parallel to the bar.

They were at 45*, but I can actually make my feet go parallel to the bar, flexible hips are flexible...

You could have gotten 12 reps if you didn't rest pause. Just saying

And gonna deadlift on Friday not Thursday. Change of plans.

And did you say you where gonna order bands? Because elitefts is having a special.
