Rugby players ex and current: Do you have fractures & injuries from playing? SRS
At least in football they wear padding and helmets but you guys are just exposed.

Broke my ribs, went back a year later, fractured one of the "wings" coming off of your L1 vertebrate in your lower spine.
Stopped playing, still the greatest game ever.

I never had any real injuries from it. Although I saw one of my mates brothers break both his arms while playing.
Edit: Actually I did **** up my right shoulder, the shoulder blade got moved down to sorta on top of the ribs where it wasn't supposed to be. A forward was charging at me. I went in real hard shoulder first. He got owned and my shoulder got ****ed.

Whats the most commone injury in rugby? In football its the unhappy triad the ACL, meniscus and medial collateral ligament.

Partially tore ligaments and then sprained it multiple times after that.
Also i'm pretty sure I have a deviated septum from taking a shoulder to the face.
I have big scar on my knee from when I sliced my knee open and fuked my shoulder a few times but they don't give me any problems now.

Probably concussions and shoulder dislocations.

Dislocated my finger in September, just buddy taped it every game, can't fully extend it, waiting till the end of the season to get it checked. And I got hit in the face pretty good this weekend, cut under my eye, a little bruising.

broke 3 ribs, then packed a scrum, let me tell you that wasn't easy.
since then got spear tackled (head driven into the ground) and tore muscles in my shoulder and kneck, and have not played since, that was 4+ years ago... the guy who took my spot broke his neck when the scrum collapsed on him, he is lucky to be walking, one of those stories where the Doc tells you a mm each way...
have also dislocated my shoulder numerous times

If you still have pain in that knee I would get it checked out because you could get arthritis or chronic pain later on.
In fact you should get physical therapy...go see a physiatrist. (Srs)

wow..breaking the neck (spinal column) is the worst thing. The surgery itself is controversial.
Sorry..."scrum" ????

Nah there's no pain it's just a bit tight because of all the scar tissue in there.

So that's done as an exercise or part of the game?

i dont mean to be "that guy" but saturday was my last highschool football game of my life. The final score of the game was 8-14 loss because we couldnt get 2 yards with 30 seconds left at there 6 yd line.
I play cornerback, one of the least contact positions on the field.
At the end of the game i could barely stand. My lower back was too messed up, iv had 2 straight days of massive headaches from a huge concusion. After the game i was hurting so much that i was shivering non stop for about 4 hours. For those 4 hours chills came from my back non stop.
But it was worth it.
