Seperate back day for Westside?

I'm currently doing a Westside like program with a DE and ME day for both upper and lower body, but I feel like I'm not getting enough volume of back work. Is it stupid to do a 5th workout day dedicated to some high volume low weight upper back work with a little other accesory work thrown in? (Bis and such)

Westside is an astonishingly successful program based on decades of Soviet research into exercise physiology, and practical lifting programming as conjured by Louis Simmons. It's complexity requires a 200+ page book to explain.

You butt f*cked it in two sentences.

lol, while i agree with you, i've gotten decent results from doing high volume back work with bands (band pulldowns etc) on off days along with other band work

Lol! Yeah in the past I was always one of those upper body only idiots that I hate so much now. And after about an 8 month layoff I'm getting back into it. Best deadlift is low 500's, after deadlifting for literally 4 weeks.
