Yes I do think he's a sh*tty QB. He had a good defense at NC State, but they had an average record, and they did not obliterate anyone. Roethlisberger played at a school with NO DEFENSE whatsoever, but yet he still managed to light up the scoreboard. There's a reason why the Steelers were hoping After Eli, nobody picked Big Ben.
No defense? You do realize that because they traded Eli for Rivers, the Chargers got TWO 1st round picks for that? You got Shawne Merriman, and then got Antonio Cromartie. And because of those two 1st rounders, you guys managed to get Marcus NcNeill and Luis Castillo as 2nd rounders.
So basically an awesome QB you say Rivers is, you got 4 great defensive players. 3 of which made the Pro Bowl. So if those 4 great ones(and a few more good ones on the Chargers D) are anchoting your D, what's wrong? It's really not the defense.
I know your a fan of the Chargers and all, so I can see supporting your QB, but I'm willing to guess if you had Eli or Big Ben, you'd be upset if I said something bad about them too. But in sports you gotta think with your head, not your heart. I'm probably the biggest Bears fan in the world. But even I realize that as great playmaker as Hester is, he is not an elite receiver, so I don't get all hurt when people say so.
Bottom line is Rivers is overrated. Champions win, defense or not. The only reason he made such amazing plays was he had LT people had to watch for. And now that LT isn't playing like in the past, Rivers has more problems.
