I don't see any problem in him coming back.
If anything the penalty was too harsh (srs).

x2
a punch after getting provoked was punished, initially, for a season
an eye gouge = half game?

So much hate ITT. The guy was provoked, not only by the BSU guy, but there is youtube video showing that the guy in the crowd he charged at hit him. Now obviously, he shouldn't have thrown the punch, and he shouldn't have been near the crowd, but he served his time for that (he was suspended for more than half the season...that's sufficient IMO) and now he's back and has to work his way back up.
I mean seriously, were his actions that much worse than Spikes gouging someone's eyes out FOR NO REASON?

Oh please. Two totally different situations. Unless you've played football at a highly competitive level, you probably wouldn't understand the eye gouging thing. Happens all the time and it's never spoken about. That doesn't mean it shouldn't be punished (especially since he got caught on national tv) but it's not like we can start bitching about every nut grab or cheap shot inside a pile.
I understand if you want to disagree with the Spikes thing, but what Blount did made it obvious that he does not deserve to be in sports. He embarrassed an entire university and football program. His actions weren't an 'in-game' reaction (Spikes had been going back and forth with the linemen and RB all game... it was NOT unprovoked, even the UGA RB said so), they were just an example of the type of person he is.
