Slight modification and an addition to the month goals
1) Keep carbs around 100 g per day or less
2) NO JUNK FOOD
3) Two workouts a day, 6 days a week
4) Go to bed and get up at reasonable times
5) Drink at least 6 cups of water a day
The first week went well. I made each of them at least 6 out of 7 days, which is pretty good.
I'm lowering carbs a bit because I still seem to be holding some water that I wasn't holding at lower carb loads. I just need to figure out how many carbs I can eat and not hold on to water. The pictures show an improvement though so hopefully dropping them a little more will be even better.
Measurements and weight hardly changed, which is odd considering I was down to 123 last week. I'll have to go back and see what I was/wasn't eating. I have a feeling it may be due to hydration as well.

So how is everyone doing? Hopefully better than me. I pulled my trap muscle this week and haven't been able to lift. I'll be sticking to cardio till this thing heals.

just wondering why you are worried about water weight? water weight is nothing to worry about and maybe you should worry about actual fat loss... people get all tied up in the whole water weight issue.. your body is mostly made up of water so why would you want to get rid of it? especially if your not competing.... eating the carbs will give you more energy to workout harder anyways.. as long as your still in the calorie deficit carbs are good..

Weigh-in day. 181. Lost one pound, barely.
Tough week. I'm one ahead on my cardio goals and even on weight training, but I totally blew the clean eating goal for this month. One week in and I had three bad days -- crap food (do I really need to eat biscuits and gravy ever again in my life?) some booze and was over my calorie limit three out of the seven days. Not good.
I blame the NY Yankees.

I'm worried about holding water because of the new rolls I have developed since I stopped doing low carb. I'm not worried about the weight, period. I'm worried about the appearance. The calipers are showing fat loss, so I don't need to worry about that. I am holding less water now, but still a little more than my liking.
I actually train and feel MUCH better with lower carbs. I made most of my increases eating less than 30 g a day with carb up on the weekends. I just like them too much to go that low if I don't need to.

No, 6-8 ounce cups. I drink enough to have clear urine. 5 cups normally does it, but 6 cups of liquid is my goal.

Look at it as you just messed up three days of this months goal. You have 3 more weeks of the month to eat clean, 27 days. No excuses! Move on. I love Shyt on the Shingles. I use to cook that regularly for my husband (when I had a husband, LMBO) he loved biscuits n gravvvy.
Now back to work y'all. Eat clean exercise stay focused and strong for the upcoming holidays that are about to pass us by and take as many of us down with them as possible!

Weighed in Friday at 260. I got alittle concerned with how fast id been losing. 10 pounds in a month seems a little quick. So I took it easy this weekend. Had some Chinese on Friday and a piece of cake and ice cream on Saturday.
Saw an interesting piece about squats from coach Mike Boyle. Needless to say I decided to back off squats for a bit and focus on some weighted lunges.. I could barely walk all weekend....

It was my girlfriends and brother's B-Day this weekend. Ate cake and got really plowed.
Ugggh.... I'm afraid this weekend set me back quite a bit.

Hey web,
I know I haven't been around in a while. I've read through a few pages and it looks like this is still going strong. I was trying the bulk thing and didn't really enjoy it a whole lot. It was fun in the beginning but when the fat started creeping back on, I was way turned off. I then got sick for three weeks. One week I was completely bed-ridden and the other two weeks I was still way ill. Last week I took off just to make sure I was totally recuperated. I'm ready to give it another go now.
So, how do you feel about me jumping back in? If not, I will wait until the next one. It would feel good to be back in the group and start hammering out the results again. Let me know how you feel about it. To all of you in here who know me, WHASSSSSSSSSUP???

Hey Chad,
Sorry to hear you got so sick....good to hear that your better though. No worries about the bulking thing....so long as your staying fit is all that matters.

Yeah, I let it go for a little bit there. To sick and tired to care, I guess.
I only gained a few pounds back and my close are only a little snug, but it's like the end of the world to me though. Nothing a few weeks of discipline won't fix though.

Hate to hear abour the cfh. Stick with it and you will get it back. Once you get out of the habit, its hard to get back in there. I am having the same problem right now. I really have to motivate myself to get in the gym these days when it used to be I couldn't wait to get to the gym and was upset when things would come up and I couldn't go.
I am ready to get back with my trainer and start hitting it hard. Just need to come up with some cash.

Weighed in on Sunday and was 183. Getting back down I guess. I'm finding it hard to stick to my diet, but I still work out. I went on a 6 mile hike today, so I feel good.

You have to ask yourself one important question. What feels better, the few minutes of pleasure from eating crappy (but good tasting) food or looking great?

Yeah, it gets tough sometimes, man. But you just have to know what you want more, the food and beer or a great body. I know as well as any how hard it can get. Take a break and re-evaluate if you have too. I did and now I'm ready to kick ass again. Of course my break was kind of forced with the sickness and all but I had plenty of time to think and I know what I really want.

True. I'm gonna get back and kick ass. The hike drained me so I'll be back 100% tomorrow. For now, I'll take it easy.

Tomorrow marks 1 month of serious cutting. The first two weeks of October were a fluke. Here is progress picture relaxed and no pump:
Cant wait to see next months!

One week I was completely bed-ridden and the other two weeks I was still way ill. Last week I took off just to make sure I was totally recuperated. I'm ready to give it another go now.

Legs
Squat - 205 x 8, 6, 4
(Circuit)
Single Leg Extension - 50 x 10/10, 10/10, 10/10
Leg Curl - 50 x 10, 10, 10
Single Calf Raise - 50 x 10/10, 9/9, 8/8
Crunch - 0 x 30, 25, 20
Well, I definitely lost some strength over the last month. I figured I would being that I was sick for most of it. It's still a harsh reality. I will get it back though, and soon.

Thanks for the welcome backs guys. That's why I wanted to seek this group out again. A bunch of wonderful people supporting one another. I look forward to getting back in the circle. I will get some stats up tomorrow and some pics up this weekend.
