}}}}} The Top Five {{{{{
Whats your Top Five songs on your ipod or music device while working out? Those songs that make each lift better than the last and the workout is better each time?
1. King Kong by Jibbs ft Chamillonaire
2. Stupify by Disturbed
3. DMFD by DOPE
4. Wit You remix by Linken Park
5. Liberate by Disturbed
Best workout I've had in a long time was today. Music makes the workout so much better.

Only listen to music when I run...and usually not when I run outside.

I like some of your selection.
I don't use an ipod when working out at the gym, but at home, the radio is on.
Here's what I like;
Godsmack, Whiskey Hangover
Alice in Chains, Check My Brain
Nickleback, Burn it to the ground
and a couple oldies
Rammstein, Links 2,3,4
Linkin Park, papercut

music is a huge motivator for us all. the sounds of plates and bars clanking and being knocked around doesnt offer the kinda of focus one might need.

Then I would be the exception. It's just me behind a closed garage door in sweltering heat accompanied by nothing more than the sounds of my breath and the intermittent electronic hums of my house. Anything else just interferes with the zen state it takes for the mind-muscle connection on every rep.

Same here............when I'm training I'm the only person in the world at that moment. I could'nt care less about who is there or what music is on........as a matter of fact when the music is up to loud or the gym is packed.......I wear ear plugs so I can better focus on the task at hand......me...

My wife cringes at some of the stuff i listen to when lifting.She wonders how the hell i do it! Most of it is 70's-80's stuff but a lot of that stuff is mellow stuff. ****e i even listen to LOL Crystal Gayle's "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" and Dolly Parton's "Here You Come Again" quite often in the gym. For me it isn't so much about the tempo or aggressive beats as it is about taking me to a carefree time of my life and the music that surrounded me at that time,therefore putting me in a different state of mind while lifting.

My iPod's loaded with classic rock, and most of it's on your list. Throw in some Meat Loaf and you're pretty much home.

Same here, love the Central Florida heat in the summer, closed garage door and sweat pouring off me like I just got out of the shower. I generally don't listen to music unless I'm doing some high rep stuff for cardio, like complexes or something. Then it's kind of mixed up, could be old punk or hardcore like the Misfits, Black Flag or something or trance music or some newer indy stuff.
