Yesterday I was at 166lbs... this morning 168.
My goal is 160lbs... whether I look good or not there is no way I'm going below 160 @ 6'3''... I should be done with keto for good towards the end of this month... I started in June-July-ish...
I've learned a lot being here and love the diet but I can't stay on it forever...
I'm on TKD and plan to do a big carb up on thanksgiving... (Tons of protein and carbs)...
So in 6 months (with a 2 month break) I will have gone from 205-> 160. A 45lbs loss (15% bf loss?) in 6 months isn't bad at all when no other diet for me works this well...
The lack of carbs has 1 major drawback for me... my way of thinking changes a bit... I care less about things and my spatial learning is altered a bit... I've had to change my way of studying but there is no way I can keep this up for a prolonged amount of time.
Cliff notes:
-> Stopping in 3-4 weeks @ 160 (Down from 205 since June?)
-> Bulking up to clean 170.

I think i'm a lifer keto dieter. It's easier to maintain, and lose on keto for me. It kills most my sweet cravings as well which are usually the only carbs i have issues with. All the healthy carbs are boring (rice, yams, potatos, oats, etc...) and will only eat them for refeeds or when i do a bulk. I honestly prefer my meat dishes served with tons of veggies over the traiditional brown/white rice, and was never a big pasta eater to begin with. I will admit though to keep sanity that i've learned to get over the "OMG i went over my 30g daily allowance because i had too much marinara sauce on my chicken, or carrots on my salad." If i'm not dieting, I wont be keeping my carbs under 30 all the time and will enjoy some of the higher carb veggies like bell peppers and onions in my cooking.

My version of keto... avoid all grains and sugar, eat real food, mostly meat and vegetables.
I plan on staying on this for the rest of my life as it is THE healthy lifestyle.

The thought of going back to eating brown rice and skim milk gives me hives.

I'm attempting to make it a lifestyle. At the very worse I might eat 100 grams of carbs a day vs 30 or less if there is any adjustment. Even if I left the keto diet to follow a more balanced diet and decide later on to diet again, I would come back to keto.

Ditto lifestyling.
My "weight" hasnt changed much in the last month since I started (2 lbs) but I was previously on your typical high protein low carb diet previously and have lost a ton of weight this year.
But - my body composition has definitely changed. I feel good. I am thankful to have a carb up meal once a week, once I got my first carb up week (ha!) outof my system - but at this point - I really feel good - and I can easily tweak whatever is presented to me in a restaurant, and often at parties to fall in line with macros.

I've been on keto for a month, and apart from a couple of minor hiccups, it went well and I've lost weight and inches. I was planning on going until the end of November, but I don't think I can make it past the weekend. I want my pasta and bread back. lol

there was no option there for me. Which is until I get lean enough, lose the waist flab. I set a weight goal and got lower than my goal and still have more to lose so it's more about the mirror or tape measure than the scale.

I did keto for 2 months. Don't really know what I did wrong. Ilost in the begining but then seemed to be putting weight on? I am back to a "clean diet" with a lot of protein, moderate carbs and lower fat, with my trainer. I do miss keto though I loved that diet.

For the rest of my life. Keto has so many advantages over a "traditional" diet. I feel a million times better on it. After this carb up, which I dont think I'll do it again, dont really like it, but I guess if it gets my body to respond, I'll do it. Keto is amazing, and I am like everyone else, I preffer to call it a lifestyle. People make fun of me when they see me cut off a piece of butter and eat it like a piece of cheese. LOL, the money I save is awesome! Thats huge in a recession.

I only just started this week with my keto, and so far I like it very much. I find it easier to not eat carbs at all than trying to only eat healthy carbs on a normal diet.
So it might as well be something for life.

Forever. I'd never go back to eating anything other than healthy proteins, greens and berries.

Lifestyle. Meat, fish, birds, eggs, fat, leaves, maybe some fruit and dairy (yogurt, cheese). Close to paleo. Starchy carbs don't work for me.
