They are 80%+ slow twitch fiber muscle which gives you power over time; whereas sprinters and powerlifters are 80%+ fast twitch

so running long distance will make your legs bigger as long as you eat a lot? (so that you wont become a stick)

Whether you're running long distance, doing an exercise with really high reps and light weight, you can easily become jacked.
You don't need to do 8-12 reps. 8-12 reps with heavy weight exists mostly because it's the easiest way to not spend a long time doing one exercise. For example you could do 8-12 reps with squats rather than run 6 miles. Either way both will work.
[
But seriously people please keep saying the silly stuff it's laughable.
|
its ironic because I often see you make horrible posts.
Running 6miles will never give you the same results as squatting.

crypt0d is an idiot. Ignore all he says. My guess is he's also somewhere around ryanoakes size, based on his asinine "I don't post a picture because I want a career someday" defense.

I have thunder thighs compared to other cross country runners. Then again, I squat too, plus I'm thicker than most cross country runners out there. Compared to bodybuilders and stuff though I got chicken legs.

is this joke or something xc runners have the tiniest legs of any sport
also sprinters lift weights, do a lot of oly lifts and a lot of squats which is why they have jacked legs.

I used to run 4+miles every weekend for about 3months.
Is that enough for a steak?

in your avi your legs look tiny.
Look you might be have big legs for a xc runner but in the end they're still small. its like saying "he's a tall manlet". In the end he's still a manlet.

Read above post.
But still most teens don't just do xc all year round so I guess there is some hope for some moderately sized legs.
But definitely not big.

Tyson gained most of his size from the routine Cus Damato set up for him.
In fact actually i remember in an interview he said "I don't like weights, i like the body weight exercises they worked so much better"
This is actually a better explanation of a daily routine for mike tyson when he trained for a fight.
5am: get up and go for a 4 mile jog
6am: come back home shower and go back to bed (great workout for those huge legs of his)
10am wake up: eat oatmeal
12pm: do ring work (10 rounds of sparring)
2pm: have another meal (steak and pasta with fruit juice drink)
3pm: more ring work and 60 mins on the exercise bike (again working those huge legs for endurance)
5pm: 2000 sit-ups; 500-800 dips; 500 press-ups; 500 shrugs with a 30kg barbell and 10 mins of neck exercises
7pm: steak and pasta meal again with fruit juice (orange i think it was)
8pm: another 30 minutes on the exercise bike
then watch TV and then go to bed.
|
He would've ate way more than that lol.
Thats some ****ty template i don't believe any of it.

I don't think running any distance will equal the amount of stress that squats place on your legs. You talk ****.
Also, post pics of yourself, I wanna see if you can actually back up what you're saying. I will rep you 10x if you look fairly jacked by just doing bodyweight exercises/running etc.

Shame you didn't learn English in COLLEGE.
Also, that quote pretty much explains your knowledge. College is rubbish at teaching anything even remotely based on physical education.body building/exercise/muscles etc.
