so I've done very minimal research and have found that the main character is most likely not even a real person, and if she is, the supposed "true events" from the movie are the product of a viral marketing campaign.

I'm still very intrigued by the subject

No one has heard of the psychologist, including the state licensing board and president of the state psychologists association. And while there have indeed been disappearances in Nome — mainly people traveling to the hub city from surrounding Inupiat and Siberian Yupik villages — blaming a real-life tragedy on alien abduction is not sitting well with the non-profit that pushed the cases into the open

According to promotional materials from Universal, the film is framed around a psychologist named Abigail Tyler who interviewed traumatized patients in Nome.

But state licensing examiner Jan Mays says she can’t find records of an Abigail Tyler ever being licensed in any profession in Alaska.

No one by that name lived in Nome in recent years, according to a search of public record databases.

Still, there are shreds of “evidence.”

Try Googling “Abigail Tyler” and “Alaska.” You’ll get a link to a convincingly boring Web site called the “Alaska Psychiatry Journal” — complete with a biography of a psychologist by that name who researched sleep behavior in Nome. Except the site is suspiciously vacant, mostly a collection of articles on sleep studies with no home page or contact information.

Another site, www.alaskanewsarchive.com, features a story from the Nome Nugget about Tyler moving to Nome for research. The problem? The story is credited to Nugget editor and publisher Nancy McGuire, who says it's baloney and she never wrote it.

Both the news site and the medical journal site were created just last month, according to domain-name research sites.

Ron Adler is CEO and director of the Alaska Psychiatric Institute. Denise Dillard is president of the Alaska Psychological Association. They said this week they’ve never heard of the Alaska Psychiatry Journal, or of Abigail Tyler.

from http://community.adn.com/node/143292

now hopefully Universal Pictures will admit its false if it is, otherwise we could have one of the biggest cover-ups ever by the current people of Nome?

POSSIBLE SPOILER

-aliens have ideas of "God".... does this mean the collective unconscious is inclusive to other species and other planets/galaxies?
-if aliens can cause one to levitate, does that prove poltergeists are real and that we can actually move things/ourselves with just our minds? I think it does, assuming aliens are real
-possibly the saddest thing i've ever seen when guy kills his family, but I would probably do the same in his situation
Ok i'm watching the packer game atm, so I'll try to elaborate on this stuff.

I've found that the whole movie was most likely just a marketing scheme and it's pretty disappointing, but last night I was doing some thinking. People spend so much time in life doing trivial things (such as bodybuilding), but I can help but feel that I should spend my life looking for truth. Truth about extra-terrestrial life, alternative realities, etc. Not only does this stuff boggle my mind, but I want to know these truths more than anything. Knowing things may help me find a purpose to life in general. The problem is, even if I did become a leading astronomer, I most likely would never discover life on another planet, even if it did exist.

I want to see the universe from an observer's point of view. I want to know everything about the universe, and I'm finding that not knowing some of these things is some of the worst pain I have.

On the topic of pain, last night I had a dream that Drew was still alive again... I was with my old friends, and we were all hanging out and he was there, and then he just disappeared as we were walking. I kept asking "he was right there, wasnt he?" and my friends kept saying "idk what your talking about, he's dead" and then I just started crying.

In short, my perfect lifestyle choice would be a philosopher/astronomer, who is constantly finding new things. I would love to spend my whole life thinking about the meaning of life and what the universe consists of. Not only am I looking for what, but I'm also looking for why

FFFUUUUU

deadlifts are extremely weak... I tried using a belt and the pushing on my stomach just felt weird as hell and I didn't even do a rep with the belt.

Incline: 185x5 pretty easy

Light squats today, so not gonna say much about that except I went back to wider stance and it felt really good

Deadlifts:
warmed up with 135x5 and 225x5
grip felt extremely close and deadlifts just felt hard in general. I felt drained and I felt like I had no idea how to deadlift
ended with 355x3 and then 355x2. After the first set of 355 I was extremely dizzy and felt like I was gonna pass out. Pissed in general at my deadlift progress lately. Its been almost a month since I attempted to rep 405 and I'm very frustrated with deadlift right now. I need to do deadlifts first from now on though, I cannot deadlift heavy when I'm drained. I'm crediting a big part of it to that

I can do 365x5 any day of the week... but honestly after 30 minutes of lifting I get EXTREMELY sweaty and hot, and I get drained quickly. I'm going to have to start doing deadlifts first on deadlifts day. And yes Galindo, I am doing Madcows.

Yeah and. That's proving my point. Aren't you suppose to start with squat. Then military/incline.

And then deadlift. AND FIVE REPS. Not 3 and 2.

I don't really think the order of the exercises matter that much... and I was going for 5 reps, I just didn't get it

But yeah dude don't you think that squatting before deadlifting has a chance to affecting your deadlift in a negative way?

I didn't think of that before I started the routine... Maybe I'll have to switch to a split. How would anybody see decent gains on deadlifting with this routine if that's the case?

Easily.

Your deadlift went up and you where barely deadlifting when you where on that bench routine.

And lots of people's deadlift go up by merely squatting heavy and frequently.

ideally I'd like a 315 bench, 365 squat, and 500 deadlift in the meet January 30th

Kinda excited to start my first cut right after the meet. I have no idea what I'll weigh at the meet, but I'll probably end up cutting to 185-190. Probably just go with the flow and see how each day goes.

I'm not sure what to do today, if I should do chest/shoulders/tris or just shoulders and then save chest/tris for a different day. I might do all 3 because if I do shoulders, I have to wait 2-3 days before I can bench because my shoulders get so sore, and vice versa.

I was seeing great strength progress with a 5-day split, idk why I stopped. I'll probably combine shoulders with chest/tri's today, but that means I'll have to bench first and my shoulder presses may be weak. I'd love to get 255x3 on bench today, and I dont think I'll have any trouble doing so. Gonna go eat a fat ass meal and then probably work out in about an hour and a half
