lulz! Now you know why I'm addicted. I would of used my goat or almond cheese for this one, but wanted to use up the last of the Swiss beforehand. And after using either a 1:1 or 2:1 (eggs to shredded cheese), I like to top it w/ a slice of cheese and then broil it. But what can I say, I just like daz cheese!
Whats your favorite cheeses.....the harder ones ?

That is one of my staples...4 egg omelette with 5 slices of swiss and/or Mozzarella, provolone, muenster, havarti. I must say...one time at work I asked the chef to cook me a cheese omelette and she took it upon herself to toss in GRATED PARMESAN (yuck!) With cheese, more is usually better, but people please...never ever put grated parmesan into your eggs.

You mean she put that fake cheese in a bottle in your omelette ? I just get pissed when my mom gets that stuff for my sister. Sorry, but that stuff really isn't cheese by my standards.

I'm sorry, but I keep digressing from my paper for school and have food on the mind. "Hmmmmm.....what shall I make tomorrow when I have time for myself and utilizing all the ingredients I have at the moment."
What's on my mind:
Brazilian Creme Brulee made out of pistachios and avocados (brazil nuts would be a great addition but don't have any as of right now)
Banana Sweet Potatoe Ceme Brulee
Cornish Hens Stuffed w/ Baked Apple Dressing
Ok, back to essay.

I think he was referring to "good or bad" dietary cholesterol, not blood cholesterol. That's the way I took it, but not sure.

Chicken cutlets- coated with bread crumbs, browned slightly in extra virgin olive oil on the stove top and then baked for 17 minutes at 325 and topped with lemon. It's delicious.

Uh.....HDL/LDL. HDL is good, LDL is bad in excess. Dietary cholesterol doesn't seem to negatively affect the blood cholesterol levels, but there are different types and HDL is inherently better than LDL.

in some ways this is true, in some ways not. if you are talking about SPECIFICALLY the compound of cholesterol, then true, its all the EXACT same compound. one identical compound cannot be any better or worse than another. HOWEVER, in the body there are a few different variations like cholesterol and cholesterol esters floating around in circulation. they are different and one is worse.

in blood, really, good and bad cholesterol are not based on the cholesterol itself, but the larger lipoprotein it is being transported in (specifically, HDL is "good" cholesterol and LDL is "bad" cholesterol) the lipoproteins are very different than cholesterol itself, as they are a mixture of not only cholesterol, but also triglycerides, proteins, and phospholipids. the reason HDL is considered "good" is because it carries cholesterol FROM the tissues to the liver to be processed, whereas LDL does the opposite (this is why during blood work you have your HDL/LDL ratio checked).
sorry if that was a little science-rantish lol. i have a test on this stuff tomorrow.
cliffs: v4nity, let me know if you have some free time when you're coming to Miami!

eh this is more of meals I'll be eating over the next few weeks... stocked up on boneless skinless... 30 lbs or so at $1.69/lb. The people at checkout thought I lost my mind...
I also got some frozen veggies, shrimps, and scallops there... red meat is under all the crap on the left corner.

The bread crumbs are "Italian" style so they come with some seasoning already. But besides that I didn't add anything at all. It takes less then 30 minutes to make the entire thing once you bread them (first you coat them with an egg wash) and they turn out great.

Yea, Parmesan, Asiago , Mozzarella, Fontina, and medium cheddar for my go-to cheap cheese. And yes Sperry, I put parm in my eggs and I love it. Parmesan goes on everything, I add it to my white rice.

Right, I was referring to dietary cholesterol, which is what the context was.. lobster having good or bad cholesterol.
Cholesterol in our body (LDL/HDL) are lipoproteins that carry cholesterol.
