Can threads like this really be unexpected?
People is these forums have built Fedor up to be almost God like.
Seriously, how many people here had watched a Fedor fight LIVE before this, not youtube clips which show only 30 seconds of the fight, but an actual LIVE fight?
Making him something he is not is the problem here. Can he beat Lesnar? NObody knows until it happens. Can he beat Mir? Nobody on earth can answer that until it happens.
It's all these 'Fedor would TKO Lesnar in the first round', 'sub Mir via upside flying arm bar crossed with ankle lock' comments that gets people all gassed up to see him kill and eat a man in the ring.

I predicted if Fedor lost, all the fanboys would turn on him like all those followers of Machida. Now even though he wins, the fanboys still turn on him.
I agree with Forrest Griffen, f%%^ck the fans, you can never please anyone anymore.

people that say this kinda pisses me off. Im a big fedor fan but cmon if you re watch the vid when roger was on top of him, his punches werent even connecting, fedor was bobbing his head side to side getting the arm bar slowly inlock but failed... and no 203 more big john woulda stepped in? wtf is wrong with uman i dont know all the mma rules but i know that the reff will stop it when a fighter cant defend himself intelligently or somthing along those lines... Dont ragg on fedor when its YOUR OPINION not friggin facts, fedor was defending himself very intelligently while putting roger in a submission stfu and u all get off fedors nuts.

Last night he gave the man many lable unbeatable his toughest fight to date......thats right, a guy who basically has one tool, which is punching, was a few punches away while on top of Fedor of the fight being stopped......
At the end of the day Fedor pulled it off......but he was out punched in the first round and was shaken up and had his nose broken early....then when he decided not to stand and punch with Rogers he went to the ground game...only to not suceed in it and found himself on the bottom of some huge bombs by Rogers... I felt if Rogers kept swinging Big John would of stopped it as he was hitting Fedor flush with a few shots while on top.
Fedor scored the flash knockdown and got the W and at the end of the day thats all that matters...but he nearly got beat by someone who isn't a top guy..... someone who Brock would beat easily in my opinion.
I love Fedor....but he would not beat Lesnar and last night any doubts I had about that were gone.

Im sorry but u r just completely wrong, Fedor was pretty much dominating that whole fight, this is pro fighting and Fedor likes to feel out his opponent before he goes for the kill of course ur gonna get hit and it so happens he got caught in the noise with a lucky jab and he got caught on the bottom for a few seconds witch he got out of with ease but u cant just look at those two things u gotta look at how much more skilled Fedor was, his defense on the ground is just crazy and is able to get out of these tough spots with these heavy guys on top of him, and his striking is awsome too look at how much bigger that Rogers guy is but he just went down like a sack of potatos, I am the type of guy that gives respect when deserved and Fedor deserves it. Now for the Fedor versus Brock debate, I personaly think Fedor is a much more seasoned fighter and much more versatile. Hes not as big or as strong as Brock but he probaly knows how to handle every situation and has a lot more tricks up his sleeve then just ground and pound like Brock the no skill Lesnar that just realizes on his size and athletic ability, witch is fine because my fighting style is similiar to Brocks myself because I lack experience but I think Fedor would take him hes just been in so many different situations and he is to skilled.

For all I know Rogers's stand up >>> Lesnar any day in striking , wrestling is another story . Don't worry tho Lesnar would be exposed atleast 5 times if he has fought people Fedor has fought . Mir taught him a lesson as well , Lesnar defends punches like a baby , other than wrestling + GNP he has nothing as far as MMA goes . GSP got murdered by a midget and lost to Hughes . A.S not looking too hot lately other than this suspect fight with Forrest aka I was hired to make Anderson look good .

Hey man,
I have to totally agree. He gets hit many times and it seems to always look like he is going to lose, then he wins. Love watching his fights...great stuff.

this post is so full of fail i dont know where to start. GSP has also outwrestled the best wrestlers in his division possibely all mma. He has avenged all of his losses. A silva hasnt looke dhot how? because he had an opponent dive to the floor everytime he approached?
oh and yeah im sure they decided to pay off their most popular fighter in the ufc to make anderson look good.

its a fail huh , how did GSP lose in the first place if he is so great . GSP got amazing wrestling at this point , I give him that . So when is he planning to outstrike guys like Thiago Alves the way Fedor does . WAIT , wont happen cuz he is gonna add several losses to his record if he doesnt go to his bread and butter now .
Why doesnt A.S go to the ground with Leites then ? Fedor didnt fear a by far dangerous guard in MMA with Big Nog twice .
You are the one blind one fail here , Fedor will fight anybody and in any aspect of MMA , only other guy who does it is BJ Penn .

It must suck when you win a fight in devastating fashion and put on arguably the most entertaining fight of the night and people still aren't impressed.
Fedor never said he was the greatest fighter in the world, he just steps in the ring/cage and does his job. He has admitted that is only a matter of time before he is beaten... I could only imagine the pressure he feels before every fight knowing that everyone is watching to see his one flaw, looking for his one mistake, and studying his every move in order to discover his one area of weakness.
People seem to look past the fact that he got caught early, won the first round, and knocked out a much larger opponent early in the second round and focus on the fact that he got hit, bled, and looked like he was in trouble for a little while.

GSP already outsruck alves. Why would anderson risk fighting leites on the ground when he has such a resume in bjj?
Btw i think fedor is the best p4p but your arguement that these guys are lousy because gsp got caught once and anderson silva fights smart is fail.

Too bad Anderson Silva who walks around at 215 lbs mark will never man up and fight a HW , instead he will cut 15-30 lbs and fight smaller guys in the other weight divisions .
Both Machida and Anderson shouldn't be considered ahead of Fedor , GSP and BJ Penn in P4P. Especially Machida who's best win is Rashad Evans ( on stats it's Shogun thanks to judges ) . GSP can outstrike him after tiring him the fk out on the ground , I dont doubt .

"I guess Fedor was exposed again with a KO victory over an undefeated opponent.
Arlovski exposed him when he won part of a round before being punched out of the air like a clay pigeon.
Sylvia would have exposed him, but he got knocked out too fast.
Matt Lindland exposed Fedor by making him grap the ropes once.
Mark Hunt exposed him by keeping him on his back for a minute before he got submitted.
Of course, the OG Fedor exposer, Fujita, once "rocked" Fedor before being subbed.
I can't wait until Brock Lesnar exposes Fedor by getting armbarred. "

fail again because anderson silva has also dominated 2 205ers and has requested to fight mir at heavyweight. Strong excuses for alves. Like GSP wasnt expending energy. Im not sure how suddenly you brought bj penn and machida into this arguement.
wtf is your arguement anyway?
and who the **** fights at heavyweight when they weigh 215?

That fight wasnt even close with Rogers except for the GnP part. Fedor was only punched seriously like 4 times. The jab that broke his nose, and 3 GnP punches (Fedor was blocking and bobbing his head Rogers missed a lot of those). Fedor threw Rogers twice like a baby and hes 280.
Lesnars only chance would be to Frank Mir him otherwise he loses. Especially now that Brock has mono and is gonna lose a lot of the HGH weight, Fedor def takes this one when it happens one day.

Loved it when Fedor's nose was busted and still charging Rogers.
Hes a mad man!
