Ok ty for explaining. I cant do a tire that big, but I can do smaller ones I suppose. Tires are easy access and a good idea too. Thanks for sharing.

I am here. Been busy in life making some great changes.
Have not been logging food but have been eating well and I can tell I am making progress. It's nice to start to realize and be in tune with your body. I know the scale will back up my feelings, but I do not need to depend on it for my results.
I did my first organized race today. Here in Colorado Springs it was 20 degrees, with a light mist/snow sort of haze going on that led to lots of blackice on the course. I had a lot of fun and did better then I was expecting. Ended up finishing in 26:08. Not terrible, but also lots of room for improvement. Overall I think I was right in the middle. Think I came in at 40 out of 77. I was more focused on finishing and enjoying it then trying to kill myself.

What a GREAT update! Thanks for sharing all of that. I love your positive attitude. You do not express bondage to negative feelings and are truckin along with satisfaction. Nice.
I do miss Colorado. My best friend lives in Colorado Springs. I am from Grand Junction, where my oldest and her family still reside.

Right on. I believe it to be a bit more but I am not worried. After the 5k on the 10th I drank water like crazy the next couple days to make sure I was fully hydrated again. I think I had a bit of extra water weight than I would normally carry. As I said though no big deal. Still feeling great, and looking better. I had a ton of fun at the 5k so I think I may get into running more serious. Then all I would need to do is learn to swim and then I could shoot for a triathlon,YAY!!!!

OMGosh, so get over to the local pool and get into their swim classes. They start easy its real fun too. If you want to make a habit of running, keep your knees conditioned. By a can of Knox Gelatin Powder, located in the jello and puddin section at the grocery store ( try top shelf) its a knee saver and blends well into any shake or smoothie!

I can stay afloat, or swim to safety if needed. But if it comes to anything graceful or efficient in the water it's definitely not me LOL. I'll let you know when I want to start. Going to focus on running for a bit. well that and continuing biking. I realized though that I do not want to look like a runner. Been reading a lot and a lot of them look so unhealthy and weak honestly. That is just not a look I want to go for. Finding the fine line of function/form.
keto, thanks for the tip. I have never heard of knox gelatin. I'll have to look into it. I have read and heard numerous times that glucosamine is fantastic for joints, and of course EFAs which I do well on.

That means half the battle is done already. Which is good but ya let me know. I am working on getting back in the water more.
Yes runnings do look unhealthy. The great in between no homo is usually a triathlete. Random fact did you know Lance Armstrong started as a swimmer.

You are welcome. The Knox NutraJoint Gelatine has a variety of vitamins, but best off all it has TEN grams of collegen! for so cheap. I especially love to share this product with anyone on Government assistance because food stamps pays for it too. So pass that on to single moms if needed.

Duh, went and got groceries and totally spaced looking for it!
I am going to be working entirely too much until DEC, but I am keeping my diet really strict (going CKD) so I will be ok. Still doing good. Pants are getting too big, and ran out of holes on my belt so I know I am improving.

One holiday down.
Someone brought in three boxes of doughnuts. Not a single one for me.
Lunch we got to choose whatever we wanted from Texas Roadhouse (love this place) Everyone else got big burgers, tons of fries, etc, I enjoyed my beans, veggies and salad.
Sodas everywhere, I stuck to having a diet coke. Come home to lots of candy and sugary treats, I passed.
It's all a test of will power for me. Could I eat all that stuff? Sure. I could eat it and still loose weight. But with the way I am, one would lead to another and it would go downhill, so I rather just not start. Same reason I don't drink anymore. It's hard to keep in moderation when your brain is going crazy telling you how good it is and how you should have more. Trying to keep fueling my body with things it truly wants and needs, rather than things I convince myself I need. I feel so much better when I eat "clean." The less processed the better I do with my overall health.
Hope everyone had an enjoyable Halloween!

Just to add, I have not cut back, nor given up in the least. I took a step back (working a ton) and have hardly had time to play online. Usually try to rest up when not working. Come end of Nov I will have MUCH more free time to update/read/learn/teach/play/get a serious workout plan going. Still working on nutrition and seeing great results of course.
