ill start next week with that schedule... I can hold the 9% with the cycling if I eat well enough and stay at maintenance cals or below... but I really wont gain any strength or size, which is fine. Hardness can increase though. If I go on test I can gain strength while remaining that lean but ive decided to stay off for a year or so, I really want to control my weight for racing... frankly, im happy enough with my musculature now, id rather have an athletic type of build, joint comfort, flexibility and a high level of cardio vascular fitness. Ive been real muscular before its not comfortable and not necessarily what id consider healthy, although it can be if you pay attention to overall fitness..

ill start diet logging tomorrow, ill been eating terribly..
training:..
40 minutes step mill
3 sets walking lunges with 40lb db's.. Had a hard time with this, kept getting cramps which leads me to believe im pretty dehydrated.
3 sets extensions.. not a normal exercise for me but I just want to get the legs used to lifting. Cycling has been great and they look pretty good but i think im going to be pretty sore tomorrow.. ill step it up next week.. Need to suck up a good back/bi/hams/abs workout tomorrow and chest/should/tris thursday.. I really need to hydrate better..

hey mo!
walking lunges are a great exercise they always killed me!
in lu of your injury make sure you stretch real good after, and that because of the biking you most likely are already quad dominant so get the HS's good.
PS thanks for your support in the snapper thread

cycling mile log...start 11/6/2008 *yearly goal 5000* +32 (4750)
Looks like ill most likely miss my goal.. oh well, next year ill do 6500 with my commuting plan and a more aggressive racing season and hopefully no hospitalizations.. ..
diet:
2 english muffins with honey 400
cycling -1700 (-1300)
turkey sandwich 570 (-730)
notes:
felt strong early in the ride and chased down a guy over the course of 12 miles, then he passed me heading up mount lemmon as I realized my muscle endurance was a little soft after limited riding the last week.. turned shortly after that and just spun moderately for another 18 miles or so.. Ill go longer tomorrow
