misc i wanna build a computer

for gaming and essential college work and stuff, can anyone help me out, i wanna be able to finance per month, price range is up to 50 or so per month, gonna put a down payment down and get some of the price outta the way, if anyone wants to put a basic comp together thatd be a great help, or point me in the right direction

I was thinking about quad core but from what I understand games aren't even designed to fully take advantage of dual core yet, so quad core is wasted money for gaming IMO. I'd rather have a higher clockspeed on 2 cores

It will play any game out now on high/max settings except for stuff like Crysis. Tom's Hardware has an article where they built a gaming PC for $650, I just modified that build.

You could just go with that but it doesn't include the monitor or OS and they went with a cross fire build which I don't like. The 5000 series cards from ATI are sooo much better
