Monster Maize (Malto Content?)
Quick question, on the ingredient listing it says <1 gram of sugar in Monster Maize but on the label it says a unique blend of Waxy Maize and Malto, and it's in the ingredient profile under the nutrition facts as well.. How much of it can really be in there in the 40 gram serving? Just wondering, thanks.

why don't you just use oats to get your carb fix?
i don't really know what maltodextrin or any of that garbage is, but i have in my head that it's straight sugar. therefore taking in cups of sugar a day is not for me

Not for me, or my body type either.. I bought this for a friend of mine since it was on sale when I went to pick up some BCAA's... I use to use the waxy maize since the zip loc TP day's, but prefer the swedish oat starch or ground up oats myself..

Probably no more than 20 grams. But there is definitely more than 1 gram since maltodextrin is a primarily a polysaccharide and would not be listed along the sugar line which is limited to the mono- and disaccharide content.

If thats the case then the Malto in that mixture is doing more than the Waxy Maize (WMS). WMS will give you less of an insulin spike than eating white bread for PWO recovery.
Vitargo (which is NOT WMS) would be the ideal carb for your friend to use for recovery since it spikes insulin 2x as high and 2x as fast as malto with NO bloating.
