Sounds like a hell of a time, glad to hear the first show went well. I'm pretty impressed that you managed to limit yourself to a couple cups of cottage cheese afterward - glad to see you still have your eyes on the big picture!

This was one of the pain in the ass things......you had to bring your own weights. It was kind of a pain lugging two 30 lb DB's up to the show, but they made up for it with the GIANT goodie bags full of supps, free protein bread, etc. In the pump area, they had rice crispy treats, bananas, bottled water, etc for all the competitors. So, in light of all this, I didnt mind lugging the weights around. Everybody shared their stuff anyways so it was actually better than trying to fight over 3 or 4 sets of DBs that are usually provided.

Very impressive! It looks like you did awesome your first time around. You looked absolutely outstanding up there. Conditioning was amazing. More importantly, it sounds like you had a blast.
Best of luck to you at World's
BTW, great rundown of the goings on of the day. You remind me a little bit of myself when I was your age, lol.

Well I'm torn here this morning.
On one hand im happy waking up @ 173.2lbs this morning.
On the other I'm super worried about this sore throat, phlegm, and cough.
I feel like doo doo right now. And unfortunately it feels like the onset of something bad. Hopefully I'm wrong and better soon.

Almost there Blazed. Hopefully you can kick whatever this is. Are you supplementing with Vitamin C this week?

Man, I hope you dont get sick. Thats like my worst nightmare going into a show. My plan if I ever run into that situation is if I start to feel anything like a cold starting, im taking the day off from work to sleep, eat and supplement my immune system. I would be chugging water (which you should be doing anyways), get a good multi-vitamin, extra vitamin C, and I swear by Zicam. That stuff works. In fact, i supplement with 2 Zicams a day starting a week and a half out from the show, just to keep any sickness away. I get the tablets that dissolve in your mouth and they make them with vitamin C and echinacea added. THats a winning combo.....zinc, vit C and echinacea all in one shot. Start pounding them.

That is honestly already a fear of mine. I always seem to get sick at the worst times. You look at Chris's (stayfit) situation. He got H1N1 like a week after he won his pro card, if that had been one week earlier, it would have most likely cost him all that hard work and his pro card. Scary thought!

Yea, I am a bit paranoid about this as well. In the two weeks leading up to the comps, I was cranking zicams and staying away from people, washing my hands like 20 times a day.....a bit OCD, really. But, I didnt get sick, thank God.
The good news is that usually, there is always another comp you can do within weeks if youre willing to drive. So, if I missed this OCB show, I would have done one within the next couple weeks......I think theres one in DC. So, unless youre at the tail end of the season, you'll have some options if you get sick.

Well, its the end for the INBF, but you've got an OCB card also.....and there are other OCB events after the INBF worlds.....just sayin. If you cant do it, its not the end of the world. There are others before the end of Nov.

That was your carb re-feed? Holy crap, I'm going to start carb cycling, that looks like too much fun. Forget eating a balanced diet 24/7. That's like healthy binging. Awesome.
And btw. your thread is a true marvel, and inspiring beyond words. It's impressive to see what is truly possible, and the documentation through pictures is great. If I ever have anyone I'm trying to inspire to get healthy, I'll show them this thread. Keep it up, to put it lightly, you have earned it.

Don't forget man, after applying the pro tan let it dry then rinse it off before the next coat. If you're gonna use up whatever you've got left, that is.

Yea buddy! My brother and I have 3 bottles of Protan left, maybe a little under.
On top of that 2 tubs of Dream Tan #2 now.
We should be able to get 5-6 coats each of protan + 1-2 coats of dream tan.
How many coats of Dream in one container you think?
I'm still pretty dark from this passed weekend lol!
