beginner gym set, help on basic routine?
Hi Guys,
I'm 28, 5"8, 145lbs and use to be 103lbs until about a year ago when i started packing on weight out of no where? unfortunately I'm still a stick, apart from my waist and gluts that i believe have absorbed the weight difference. I use to have a nice flat hard abs, now it's a pot and i cant fit any my old jeans anymore.
To give you an idea of my body stats, i have major chicken leg syndrome. my ankles are like 8", its just bone. My calf is 13", arms 11", 34" chest (full stats in profile)
I just bought this new (cheap) multi gym set (attached some pics, also comes with bar and 100lbs weight plates) and am wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a proven routine (using the gym) i could use to increase strength, cut back on the fat I've gained and increase size as well if possible?
Thing is I don't want to start using it until I have a proven plan ready which will actually show gains, instead of floundering around creating my own disastrous one.
I've always had an extremely fast metabolism, and always ate what i wanted.. but not so sure now?
After reading the forums i understand nutrition plays a major part, so if anyone has any great info they would want to recommend to help out a newbie enthusiast then i would be absolutely grateful.
Thanks again!

You can't squat with that setup
You need an seperate bench and squat stands and an olympic barbell set

grim, couldnt he do your program you set up with just a barbell. If he is a real beginner the wieght may last until he gets some spare cash.
i just glanced through the thread, but what i thought i gathered was that he has a barbell and 100 lbs of plates. is it a standard wieght barbell?
