Was just a gladiator match. It's a shame one of the two had to lose
looks like you got quite the rep boost recently lol.
I can't wait for SEC Digital to put the game up online.

That game just pissed me off. LSU has been a victim of bad scheduling this year. The week before we played Florida they had a bye week. Same thing with bama. im not saying this is what allowed bama to win but it certainly helped.
The refs sucked complete cock in this game. They blew the call for the pick and several others. The injuries is what hurt us the most. Without the injuries, julio never scores cuz peterson is the best cb in the country. If JJ would not have gotten hurt, lee s***** ass is never in the game and the offense has more continuity to it.
U guys notice the SEC has the best football but the worst officials in the country?

Didnt the officials rule a bama pass incomplete, and failed to review it because the review equipment was ****ed up? Just heard that.
Injuries are apart of football, especially when you're facing a team as physical as Bama.
And if you think the bye week **** sucks...Bama has 6 opponents next season that have a bye week before they play the Tide. SIX!!! That's ridiculous.
Miss State, LSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Auburn.
Bama's bye week comes before LSU next year. That means this game should be more epic than ever.

Knew it was bad news when Peterson had to come out again and could feel a big play coming.
But then he made up for it with a clutch interception! Oh wait crappy SEC officiating ftl. Whether it would of made a difference or not that's just pitiful.
Hope LSU finishes strong and gets a chance to stomp some Pac/Big 10 team in a bowl game.

Jkeith got me to prevent a mod-neg if Bama lost, and GAPump got me for making fun of Tebow. Lulz. 2 mod reps in 1 week

Completely agree. LSU is going to be patchwork next week.. hope they can recover. Had 7 starters out at the end of the game. starters at CB, RB, MLB, QB, LT, DT, TE all injured and out of the game. Ciron Black came back in later, thankfully. Basically the team in the 4th quarter was 2010 LSU, minus Peterson.
That's a tribute to how physical Bama is. It was like that last year too. It's good, clean, physical football.

I just watched it again and I don't see how you could overturn that. It's borderline at best. I hardly looks obvious.

He catches the ball, foot is out of bounds, drags his back foot (when the pic is taken).
CATCHES THE BALL, LEFT FOOT IS OUT OF BOUNDS.

Literally everyone else in the nation disagrees. It's pretty clear that he got 2 feet in (you can also see grass fly up, and look where the mark is.. inbounds). Check the sporting news sites, haha. Even most Alabama fans agree that it was just a shady call. There wouldn't be any media outrage if it was a good call.
I can't let you get away with denying this one Good game though, have you watched the entire thing yet? Ingram really gets going in the 2nd half.
EDIT: Besides if his foot was out of bounds they would have said "the ruling on the field is confirmed" right? Here is proof of the divot in the grass..plan and simple it was a shady call. Can't say LSU would have won or not, but this team has some serious heart when the game is on the line.. and it's a shame they didn't at least get the chance.

i was there and that didnt happen the first 3 times he went down. In, fact one time he even ran off the field and was in the very next play. but laying on the field for 2 mins, when theres ~2:30 left in the game just because your out of time outs is dirty. hence the massive booing.
As for the refereeing yes that was a pick. you didnt get that call. But there were several interferences from LSU that didnt even get flagged. And that "running into the kicker" 5 should have been a "roughing the kicker" 15. he got him pretty good. It was a tough, physical game and LSU couldnt handle it. they got killed in the stats too. Roll Tide.
The crowd was so loud, and momentum was so huge that LSU burned 2 timeouts earlier just so they could reset and calm down.
EDIT: just watched the slowmo replay of the pick. He made contact with the ball with 2 feet in and down, but by the time it came all the way in , he had lifted his foot up and stepped out. The rule is that there has to be significant evidence to overturn the call on the field, and there wasnt. good call.

Charles Scott had a broken collar bone and the Bama fans were cheering when he was on the ground. He was down there for a few minutes. They cheered when Jefferson got hurt too, he rolled up on his ankle. Don't act like it was an isolated event.. it was the mob mentality, which happens.. Alabama fans should know better.

Actually.. Shepard didn't know where to line up so we had to burn a time out. Then the next time Lee made a stupid ass mistake and took a time out intead of 5 yard penalty on 3rd and 20 lol.

It's when he has possession. Not when the ball is tucked.
Cal, I found a clip of that 'catch' that the replay machine was down for. It was definitely an incomplete pass.. the ball came loose when he hit the ground. Ground can't cause a fumble but it can cause incompletion.

Ugh... refs make bad calls in every single game. Blaming a loss on the refs is getting old. There was a hundred other plays during the game that a team could have made a play. (not saying anyone in the thread is doing it, just the media constantly portraying refs as the reason for a loss)I don't think a week has gone by in 2 seasons where someone didn't complain about a ref costing them a game in both college football or the NFL.
BMY- See PM please.

I was at the game and bama fans started booing when Scott was down b/c LSU fans started chanting "LSU". The bama fans weren't cheering that he was injured (at least from where I was sitting), but it was still pretty unsportsmanlike for the fans to cheer with an injured player down. I know when Peterson was down in the endzone, the stadium was silent...

The crowd was ROARING the entire time. maybe there were some classless cheers but the stuff with peterson was getting very old. they should have sent him down the tunnel alot earlier, maybe he wouldn't have a real injury then.
didnt line up in the right spot? communication problems? that happens when it gets really loud.
and with the replay, he had possession and got hit out of bounds, and the ball popped out when he hit the ground out of bounds, isn't the play dead when he goes out?

Shepard has been lining up wrong all season, it's because he's trying to learn 3 positions.. youthful mistakes. I bet the stadium was rockin though.
Nope.. receiver has to maintain possession all the way through the ground.

You're right, it does look shady, because it's so borderline. It hardly looks as obvious as some of the other blown calls. I mean we're looking at a matter of 1-2 millimeters here.
Conspiracy is the "flavor of the year" in the SEC. Everyone wants there to be a conspiracy now, because they can't handle that maybe Alabama and Florida are actually pulling this off. Have there been bad calls this year? Absolutely. But this call could go either way. The fact that it was so critical is why people are crying about it so much.

Looks like sideline is disturbed from that angle. Sorry bro.
Also, there is now the idea that Julio may have touched the ball. If he did, the ball was dead.

Try watching it again without tears in your eyes.
I'm telling you how I see it. Sorry the angles suck bro.

The angles were fine. Take off the crimson glasses my man. Nearly every Alabama fan, sports analyst, coach, and unbiased fans as well all claim that it was a bogus call. I've shown multiple pictures and clips that are absolutely conclusive, the replay official fricked it up and took away a chance for LSU to win the game. Can't say LSU would have, as Bama has a lights out D.
Here's a few links of just a few bad calls. This doesn't include the pass interference that was called on the ball thrown out of bounds, either. I just want these ****ty ass refs fired. It's time to hire professional refs and get rid of these weekend warriors. This was a pretty bad screw job, though. I'm just proud of how LSU played through adversity.

lol @ you asking every bama fan, sports analyst, coach, and "unbiased" fan. That statement was pure lulz dude.
I'm watching the same vid you are, and I'm saying there is no way you can certainly say he wasn't out of bounds. You're going off of two bad angles, and a picture of a divot in the grass that could've been made when the other foot was or wasn't out of bounds. That is hardly conclusive.

I'm watching the game at the moment, and already I've seen a block in the back on Barron, and a hold on Jackson. I'll get back to you when I'm finished.
But it appears to me that so far, I'm seeing both teams get away with bull**** calls. I don't like it when either team gets away with calls, but I'm not a ref, and there's nothing I can do about it.
