I've been playing the Game boy version, more nostalgia, but I can't make it past the jetski level.

Final Fantasy 8 is not nearly as hard as other FF's. I beat it in 5th grade. You just have to take your time and fight most of your battles and not run away, that's what makes any FF hard. And why the hell did you stop? you were nearly at the end of the game

dunno was years ago...I jsut rmemeber one fight I kept dyin all the time..like the enemy had a spell and kept wiping out my whole team..or fight would lsat ages and Id never win...i got broed and stopped playing
Anyway I just bought again and half way on disc 2.....
Appratnely you should try to level up your magic and GF and gain as much majic as possible to junction....but try NOT to level up your characters as the baddies level up with you so
You could be at level 20 with high GF and loads of magic junctioned to HP and have HP 9999 whilst enemies are level 20
Whereas if you gain loads of exp and hit level 80 and have 9999HP baddies will be level 80 and have loads more HP also
SO I have a new strategy which hopefully will make it easier
I completed ff7 no problem....never beat the sea or desert bosses though
FF9 I just stopped playing..BUT thinking back that game was ok..I shouldve completed it
never tried 10+
13 looks amazing

I did it like a year ago and got ss of lvl 19 but not higher , the lvl i was stuck on was lvl 19 but with yellow balls going diagonally. Its blocked at work hense the ****ty link.

FF8 is decent, not the best FF by far. take your time, fight most of your battles, and all that junctioning stuff will come naturally. it's not like FF7 where you have to be strategic with your magic and who you assign it to. FF7 is definately the best FF, and like the second hardest I played. suprised you had more difficulty on 8. you need a summon called knights of the round equipped with a materia called Mime (level 2) to beat the desert boss and mime (level 3 or 4) to beat the water boss in FF7
FF9 was a terrific game. highly underrated. great story with great characters. only problem was it was incredibelly long. took me a whole summer to complete.
PLAY FF10 wtf are you crazy? my second fav FF
I've never played 12, planning on it soon. 13 does look rad
