I think 1.5x your bodyweight is in the lower end of average. In the 2.5x range, you are starting to become freaky strong.

I think around 550lbs - 600lbs at my bodyweight and I would consider my deadlift very strong (also considering I am 5'10, I don't exactly have a 2 inch rom).
I pulled 475 today again, not too difficult at all this time. I def could pull 500 in a few weeks time imo.

that's how I feel. although I'm only 169 lbs right now so once I hit 500 I'll be happy. Sub 500 DL's at any size isn't that impressive.

Are you changing the subject (your subject) from 5 reps to 1 rep max? Just earlier in your original post, about 20 mins prior to this one, you said you did 405 lbs. But now in this post you say you pulled 475 lbs. You posting while in the gym or what?

I got back from training about 2 hours ago and did all those lifts (see above, did calves and hamstrings too) (475 for 1, 405 for 5).
But you're right, I am changing the subject inadvertently. Back on topic.

I've never seen anyone deadlift over 350 pounds at my gym, yet everyone on the misc is the goddamn hulk from birth.
"Just got into weight lifting today, deadlifted 315 x 5, is this good?"
"No LOL i pulled 600 my first time"
