Shopping question
I started reducing inches from my waistline and I have a booty or curvy butt. For me the challenge has been shopping. I can't seem to find jeans or pants that fit. I want to avoid getting pants tailored.
By fluke, I bought a pair of INC brand jeans from Macys which fits as though it was made for me. I can't seem to find that pair again.
When I'm shopping, I look for the curvy fit pants but I'm not seeing them that often. I tried shopping at White House Black Market and their version of curvy fit doesn't fit me. It fits well at the butt but not at the waist. I had no luck with Ann taylor loft and I'm not really into their style.
I'm looking for both professional clothing like black pants and casual jeans. I guess my clothing style is kinda like the young sexy librarian look.
Where do you shop for clothes or manage to find pants/jeans that fit?

Try the Victorias Secret pants, some of the shops are carrying the clothing so you might want to try some on there. I have some friends that are more hip/butt curvy and they do well with them.

I know exactly what you mean, since I was 13 I have had a butt that doesn't match the size of my hips so I wear a 2 or a 3... but my butt wears a 5. Generally I look for stores where the mannequins have big butts lol it's probably not the best method, but it usually works. I also have a flat chest and realized that shirts from stores where the mannequins have large chests don't fit me, so I started reversing that theory to look for pants.
Most places make jeans for people with no butt though, so I feel you. "See through Soul" fits me well, Rheul jeans fit me nicely... I haven't bought jeans in awhile though so I'm not too much help.

Joe's jeans fit booty's like ours pretty well. :-) I always buy them at secondhand stores or Nordstrom Rack so they're more affordable. I usually end up needing to wear heels or tailor, but the provocateur fit from them is made for petites and I can wear them off the rack with flats.
I've heard that Lucky is another good brand too.

I always have this problem! I swear that the price of the jean and the fit totally correspond unless you are very straight-up-and-down build. I have thighs, butt and then a decently small waist in comparison, so usually cheaper pants fit the butt but bag all over around the waist or the other way around. I don't even bother shopping in the junior dept stores.
I like jeans from Nordstroms and The Buckle - I swear by Sevens or Big Stars. Big Stars are my go-to jeans. They are usually about $98/pair but always fit just right and I don't even have to try them on when I buy them! I love that. Sevens are like twice that price and are super long, so you would probably need those altered. The Lucky "Lil Maggie" jeans fit similar to the Big Stars and those aren't bad. I think Silver makes some nice jeans too, although I don't own any - they are usually in the same area of the The Buckle as the Big Stars and Luckys.
I have tried GAP (too long of a crotch area), american eagle (waist didn't fit), Old Navy (haha, all around wrong) and everything in between. IMO, it's not worth wasting my time to find a cheap pair of jeans which could take hours, when I know what fits now.

This is one of the reasons why I never wear jeans! lol I used to have to wear them all of the time b/c I worked cattle and I also worked at a horse stable. I have one pair of jeans that I wear every now and then, but I avoid most jeans at all costs. I am constantly on the go and I like to be able to break out in a run whenever I feel like it, so I'm always wearing some sort of workout/comfy pants. I have only ever found one pair of jeans that fit me right, and I can't find them anymore. I have to buy jeans that will go over my hips; which would be a size 3-5 (depending on the brand). However, by the time they go over my hips, they are too big around my waist and I HATE belts! Also, I hate shopping, so I won't go into a store and try on a bunch of jeans to see if they fit. lol

I used to work at a women's clothing store. We had a line called Right Fit Jeans made for women of all shapes and sizes. They do sell career pants as well.

I have this problem also and swear by Victoria's Secret for dress pants. Their jeans also fit well too. BKE from the Buckle are my standby for jean's though.

Lucky jeans - they're the only brand that fits me correctly.
Although, I did just buy a pair of jeans from Bebe, and those are fitting pretty good as well...

I'll try Kohls and hope it fits. The expensive price tags are scary.

I'd check out Joe's jeans from Macy's. they're usually in the impulse section. I find they fit really well for curvy figures and they're crazy comfortable.

Kohl's also carries a brand called Vigoss that fit really really well for muscular legs. They are my "go to" for cheap jeans that fit well. Other than that I really like Big Star and Mavi

Have you tried finding that pair online? I know once I find a pair that fits just right I jump online and mass order them!

I never thought of that. I tried but can't find the exact style. They must have changed names or something. Hate it when companies do that

I have the same problem that all of yall have...i wish all stores would make a pair of pants/jeans made for people with junk in their trunks!!! I love express jeans but i have the problem that they fit in the butt but not in the waist or length( i have the shortest legs ever for being 5'5) the only pants i found that fit are the marissa fit at Annm Taylor Loft or the true flare at AE. i have heard to go to buckle bc they tailor pants to fit you(not sure of the truth in that tho.) good luck on your search

I have always had this problem and i am a jeans junkie so for me, buying a pair of jeans is like a process. I always liked Rock and Republic Victoria Beckham jeans, Seven for all mankind flynts (they fit real nice in the leg and have a bit of stretch) and some Diesels.
Dress pants i swear by Club Monaco. Their stuff has always fit me perfectly.
I stopped buying jeans after i realized I had waaay too many pairs.

You should try Express jeans! They really are the best fitting jeans I have ever tried. The "mia" fit is the best if you have a small waist and fuller butt.
