Casein protein makes you TALLER?
I read somewhere that taking casein protein (80% of the proteins in milk and 100% in cheese) increased serum IGF-1 levels by at least 15%, while whey increased nowhere near that.
Is this why the Dutch are so tall? The Dutch are known to drink milk for breakfast, lunch and even dinner. Plus they are known to consume the highest amount of cheese in the world.
A study produced by Danish Scientists concluded that Whey raises insulin (hence best for post-workout) and casein raises IGF-1. Can someone tell me the benefits of IGF-1 for bodybuilding?
