A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of 'Up to and including my life.'
That is honor, and there are way too many people who no longer understand it or even care.

I've always wondered what those guys would look like after a cut.

I like the reduced violence aspect of this. They can "defeat" their opponent without having to break their nose, or cut off circulation to their brain.

Yeah, watching some matches, I thought that balance and control actually played a big part, and it wasn't just being bigger and stronger, but being able to change balance and manipulate momentum.

I've read a bit about their training and stuff, it's pretty crazy how the "stables" and stable heirarchy works.

sumo wrestlers have more muscle than any other athlete in the world including bodybuilders. that means if they did a cut and kept all their muscle, they would destroy bodybuilders on stage.

I disagree on this one, since it is very hard to substantiate. Further, a sumo's training is unlike that of a bodybuilder's. I would still conjecture that sumo's have a great deal more muscle than a regular person. The wrestler in the vid had a very muscly upper body, with a large gut. If he were to lose all that fat, he may look something like this

asashoryu is insanely good... looks like he's starting to fall out of his prime though.
chiyonofuji was badass, though... probably the most jacked sumo wrestler of all time. think he took cell-tech?

asa: 6'0 330 lbs
I was expecting someone more along the lines of 6'3 400
then again there is a limit to how much is usable weight. Id like to see cutler and coleman sumo wrestle. lulz.

they would probably be schooled hard, a lot of these world class champions started training when they were like 3 years old, and sumo also had cultural significance as well
much the same way, it would be extremely difficult for a sumo to attain the level of cutler or coleman, since they have spent so many years bodybuilding through extreme dieting and lifting
