The problem is that they need to be shot continuously. Just shooting them part time won't make a dent in their numbers. No one will be able to make a living selling them for 10 cents a pound, so they won't do it.
We'd need a hundred helicopters to slaughter them all. They're all over Australia. The only real option is to make it profitable for the hunters to shoot them again by finding a buyer to replace Russia.

Weed's legal in Canberra brah  .
Good luck making friends with a roo though lol, they're pretty feisty and they're very good at boxing too. If you can wrestle it to the ground then you should be right, but the roos usually beat the dropbears by staying on their feet and using their superior punching ability. The only way the dropbears can win is by using the element of surprise to drop from the tree and wrestle it to the ground, otherwise he's got no chance lol.
Hopefully the dropbears can increase in number to thin out the roo numbers out here, they're less of a pest than the roo.
