Just wondering but what do you guys think of PITA?? I think they go way too far with things...For Example they wrote Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream requesting them to put Human Milk instead of Cow Milk in their ice cream..
They said something along the lines...
"We believe that the cows milk is meant for only her babies"
WTF PITA?!?! and a Womans milk is not meant for only her babies???
Just thought I'd throw that out there.

PETA is an ok organization, although they do go a bit too far in some cases. However, they do get work done and do make a difference. I myself am more of a supporter of the ASPCA and the Humane Society of the United States (and their state representatives). They go more along the lines of what I believe in.
However, PETA and their undercover investigations (among other sources) have turned me into a lacto-vegetarian (I do take in milk products, but that's it). I can no longer support an industry that is one of the worst animal abusers in the US. However, if I were to start eating meat again, it would be the free range, grass fed beef, chicken, etc. They are treated much more humanely and they have a controlled killing area where the animals are not in so much distress as what you would find in a factory ranching operation.
Edit: sorry for hijack. Continue with pics of cute animals

Sammy Girl (shepard) We got from our local German Sherpard rescue. She was 6 months old and had been physically abused from the time she was born. They were 3 days from putting her to sleep due to the fact that she did not trust ANYONE and would bite anyone that got near her. My wife walked in to her cage while the person running the place was not looking, sammy walked up to her and layed completely submissive at her feat. For the first 2 months we had her home, Sammy would only follow my wife, when ever I walked into the room she would hide behind my wifes legs and shake and whine. We took it VERY slow with her. little by little I tried to show her that not every man in the world was going to try to hurt her. (If I ever find the man that did this to her I will be going to jail that night)
One day about 2 months into having her I was sitting on my couch watching the news when out of the corner of my eye I see her sneek onto the other side of the couch. I act like I am not watching her, she lays her head down on the couch and scooches inch by inch over toward my arm.
She touched her nose to my hand and I petted her for the first time since we had her.
That was 2.5 years ago, ever since she is a big daddies girl. She flops down in my lap like she is only 5 lbs (even though shes about 90lbs!) And has made HUGE breakthroughs in trusting other people (which now includes all of my brothers all 5 of them and all women). She will even let strangers pet her as long as my wife or I introduce her to them.
These have been the very best 2 dogs I have ever owned (and I have owned alot of them)
I feel safe working the night shift at work knowing anyone breaking into my house will have these 2 mountains of muscle fur and teeth to get thru before they meet my wifes 12 gauge...

Got a little cockapoo. She was born as an only puppy with no litter-mates so she was weaned early and hand raised. She loves attention!
I miss her at school but i've got a mug with her picture.

Got him from a good breeder with papers&certs etc, was the pick of the litter. His sire/family tree were all fairly big for staffies and many of the males were actually used as show dogs. Were actually studding him out now, get up to $600 for a weekend if someone brings their btch around

The staffies are awesome, ive never seen a dog get so excited over people before. They literally go nuts when you come home from work. Good with children too, cant go wrong!

Our newest RESCUE!!!!!
So my wife and I are on the emergency contact lists for several pounds and kennels in our state. Well day before yesterday we get a call. Some people who got in way over their heads breeding German Shepard puppies came by and dropped off 6 pupps.
That pound does not give long for adoption, only 3 of them were taken before gas time
So we got into "get puppies a home" mode. We found 2 good homes in time, but time was running out for the little girl........
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
now we have a new puppy to add to our family...
Yep we decided to keep her for ourselves.
So this is our new puppy Pumpkin!!!!

Being little is tough

Camara flashes are bright!

Meeting her new mama Sammy girl.

Bring home a prisoner and they will steal your stuff!!! hahahaha....
She is only 5 weeks old, she really wasn't ready to be apart from her mom, but our 5 year old shepard Sammy girl has adopted her and decided this puppy belongs to her. They now sleep side by side.
You know, sometimes when you are not looking for something, the best things in the world fall right in your lap.

Very cute, and big props for being involved in a rescue!! Best of luck with all your pups. We've got one, only one, and he's quite enough. Max, will be 3 in December, full-blooded Dane. His favorite spot is my couch, or rather, his couch...

Thanks! Love him to death. No offense to any others, but once a Dane person, always a Dane person. I'd get a picture of him standing or sitting, but he's only awake for about 4 hours each day!!! The bigger they are, the lazier... lmao

Before I got married, any chick I dated that did not like my dog sleepin in the bed could find somewhere else to sleep herself.
