Thanks for your input but I'm not changing what is working for me. Just like you can put up a link that show how raw eggs aren't good for you I can put up plenty of links that show that they are.

I'm a natural competitive bodybuilder who in the past two years won 6 trophies coming in first or second place. I also won my natural bodybuilding pro card this summer. Eating raw eggs may not work for you but it works for me and I'm not going to stop something that works for me just because you posted a link. I've been doing this for close to four years now and haven't had E coli or salmonella poisoning. I also don't eat meat so eggs and whey are my primary protein sources and you can see from my pics that it's working.

So no worries, you didn't burst my bubble. The media says that steroids kills bodybuilders and cause all of them to have roid rage. Many women think that lifting weights make them "bulky" and finally based upon this film some teenagers think that creatine is a drug.

The world is so full of misinformed people. Sometimes you just have to ignore the things they say (like I'm gong to do).

not one link you posted as absolutly any research behind what i am saying, COOKING AN EGG DRASTICALLY INCREASES THE PROTEIN ABSORBED BY THE BODY. i didnt say anything about salmonella or any dangers of consuming a raw egg, i posted a link that demonstrates in a sceintifically proved experiment that heating an egg increases the abosrption by the body. do you want me to repeat that? HEATING AN EGG INCREASES THE ABOSRBTION OF PROTEIN BY THE BODY.

i can post a 1000 more links with no evidence behind them saying exactly what i am saying but i posted one with scientific research, this cannot be argued no matter how much you want to be right. Show me a scientific test saying that the protein in raw eggs is absorbed as much as when they are not cooked and i will gladly reconsider my argument.

How are you sure it is working, you are a body builder and im sure that your protein intake is far more than 28g per day (the amount contained in 4 average whole eggs) so the protein your body is utilising may be from other sources and not from your raw eggs, and you are wasting your time consuming them. maybe you should try boiling them and preparing them in advance, it is not at all time consuming as i boil a dozen at a time and eat them throughout the next day.

To the egg debate:

Has no one learned that there is no exact science to bodybuilding? EVERYONE is different, its what makes bodybuilding so complicated, frustrating and in the end enjoyable. Sure, we know a lot including: training philosophies, understanding diet and the chemical aspect.

But even what we do know VARIES from person to person. I kno people who benefit from HIT and some who dont. Some people need to carb load, others need to fat load. Some people can handle chlomid others cant.

It is a process and to each their own. I would most be worried about eating a raw egg and contracting salmonella, but i have to admit it would prob be easier drinking eggs then cooking them.

Vinex is right on this one. I know Dr. Joe has said that eat raw eggs is about as useful as pouring them down the drain... the digestibility of egg protein sucks if the aminos haven't been at least somewhat denatured prior to consumption.

I don't mean that as an insult but facts are facts... the research definitively shows that eating raw eggs is an inefficient way to consume protein. Your body is not somehow superior to anyone else's in terms of ability to digest undenatured egg protein.

Sheesh people WHAT THE HELL.

Who really cares? I don't go by what study shows what. If something works, it works. I'm not going to wait for some stupid study to prove me right or wrong.

By the way, for my whole first year, I drank 1 dozen raw eggs every day as my protein drinks. I made great gains.

goddessamazon has made her stance pretty darn clear. You other guys can't seem to accept that. Drop it, please.

please give me the name of your super x-ray ultrasound machine you use to check how much protein your body absorbs throughout the day.

i know my body too that doesnt mean i know how much protein i am absorbing.

Not paying attentionn to scientific data? why dont i go eat a bunch of donuts and cake and biscuits and maybe i will grow some lean muscle because i dont pay attention to science. your ignorance could only be holding you back.

the only reason i am aware of these studies is because i, like you, use to throw a whole bunch of raw eggs into my breakfast shake. while i was discussing my diet with a fellow trainer one time he let me know that his wife is a nutritionist and told me the body cannot absorb as much protein as if the eggs were cooked. I was almost upset by hearing this news as i felt all those times i had drunk my morning shake was a waste of time, so i went home researched it and found several studies proving his point in which case i bit the bullet, swallowed my pride and started cooking my eggs. cooking my 4 eggs every morning has just allowed me to absorb that 14g more protein than if they werent cooked. does that 14g make a difference at the end of my 250g of protein day? not really, yet id rather not waste half my eggs.

if you dont want to take in what those studies show us then thats fine, i am just letting you know that science has proved to us many helpful things and this is another one.

why didn't this bald headed kid read the nutrition facts on the egg carton and see that eggs are only 6gs of protein and figure out if he only drank half it would be only 3g?????
