That is pretty close but I have modified it a bit for my needs. My training journal has all my workouts.

Yes I started with yours but broke up the hypertrophy a bit...those long workouts were a little tough.

Misty is my girlfriend, has helped me immensely this year in preparation...food, support, ignoring my mood swings...I owe her big time!

Thanks...funny but I actually feel odd not wearing a shirt...like I am showing off or something, I don't even like wearing a tank in the gym....well except this last few weeks...I don't fill out my shirts anymore so a tank helps with loss of size...

I like the macro's. I am currently on 50/175/220 f/c/p and yours are higher any reason why?
I am also curious what your diet was like If you don't mind sharing?

My diet started at 55f/340c/270p, the reason I would guess mine are higher is that everyone is different. I found through trial and error where my body liked to be for gaining muscle. My cardio was also 4 days a week for this prep. I know some people who have carbs under 100 per day and cardio 6-7 days a week. Bottom line is we all have to find what works for us to reach our goals.
I will says this. My macros are much higher this year than they were during my last prep. I spent the time between contests getting my metabolism burning faster by doing cardio year round. It seems couter productive, and is something I avoided most of my life...being skinny I didn't think i needed cardio. However this year I did cardio year round in some form and was able to eat more, diet on more calories and stay fuller into the contest...my strength also stayed much closer to off season than it did last time. All good progress signs to me.

im sure your teaching layne a thing or 2 also.
Layne, your right you never know who is going to come in more conditioned and all that crap. Nothing wrong with positive thinking, and your putting a downer on it. Whether we say he will win or not, is not going to change his placing. He posted on here, letting us give some comments. If someone says he is gonna win, whats the crime in that? Its not giving OP a big head, but maybe abit of extra confidence he needed.
No disrespect man, but i would be pretty down if i made a thread like this and people were telling me im gonna lose.

Like someone else stated, the only thing your lacking is in the traps(maybe some more leg mass also). Overall though, you look great. Good luck at your show.

oh geez so by not telling him he's going to win I'm implying he's going to lose? c'mon.
i never said he was going to lose. I think paul looks great and has a good shot, I just get tired of all the comments from people of 'oh this is in the bag' I, as well as MANY other competitors I have talked with, hate it when people say that. I'm not making this stuff up lol, i've worked with hundreds of competitors... I know LOL. Well wishes are great, so are positive thoughts. Not guaranteeing victory or a placing

QUOTE:I will be competing in my first Pro Qualifier this Saturday. The NGA American International Championships in Coral Springs, Fl. I thought it would be nice to post some pre show pictures up. I will also follow up with contest pictures and some from a photo shoot I have planned for the 14th with a professional photographer. I always enjoy coming in this section and seeing all the great physiques so this is my contribution.
I train with several methods. I have done pure hypertrophy but found the best success with periodization of several programs. I really like Layne Norton's power\hypertrophy split. I also used Derek Charlebois's Tri-Phase and made some solid gains. Layne does my contest diet and prep work.
You look Awesome, but remember to keep your eyes on the prize and dont let all these nice comments soften you up.
Also Layne is the man helping u get into this kind of shape.
