This might sound super freaky but I love chopping up some curly kale or swiss chard, put it on a baking tray and
spray with some evoo or rice bran oil & sprinkle with salt then pop it into a hot oven for about 15 minutes.
gets all crunchy and YUMMY and a great way to get ye greens! Otherwise there is always celery, with a little
hummus it's grand as well

Now and then I'll make a bed of corn chips on a plate, lay down a layer of browned hamburger, top it with cheese and bake it long enough to melt the cheese and heat the chips/meat. Then cover that with shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes. Add salsa if you like.

I like to shred cheese, sharp chedder or whatever and put it on parchment paper about 2 TBS a pile and pop it in the oven, they get real crispy and you end up with cheese "chips". Just be sure to blot any fat off them before you store them I never have a problem with them being greasy but then again I use the low fat cheese.
|
^^^ I've been wanting to try this for a long time. Are they good?

I haven't found any good replacements for that as part of a clean diet. Does anyone have something as crunchy as a pretzel or chip they use as part of their clean diet?

I have baked high fiber wraps in a very hot oven

My incredible yummy dessert that serves my diet well:
1 - packet Dannon Low Carb Vanilla Yogurt (45 cal, 3 carb, 5 protein, 1.5 fat)
1 - scoop ON Caseine Powder, LEVEL (120 cal, 3 carb, 24 protein, 1 fat)
3/4 tablespoon Natty chunky Peanut Butter (79 cal, 2.2 carb, 3 protein, 6 fat)
If you mix these portions up really well, it has the exact consistency, as cream cheese / peanut butter cake Frosting. No kidding.. !! Give it a shot!! Even better if chilled for 1 hour before serving !!
BTW I eat this late night before bed for the Caseine protein effect

Cartiledge tips from chicken bones are an awesome crunchy snack. When you're done with a roaster, scrape the cartiledge off the joints and keep them in the fridge.

Don't know what that is....but if it is what I think....ummm no
Let me put it this way.
I have to eat my chicken breast in small cubes...if I cut or bite into a chicken breast and see a stringy vien, I have to stop eating it...I start gagging....I have tried to man up but it just keeps happening.
Easiest way to fix it, just cut into pieces and no ripping of the breast is needed.
My wife just laughs at me!
Gosh I hate admitting that!

I wouldn't say that. I just don't discriminate where meat is concerned.

Seems so
Lately I am even going to buy Foster Farms Chicken specifically.... no plumping!!!
I turn my nose up to chicken when I see the 'pumped with sodium water' on the label. Would rather go somewhere else and buy foster farms.
Makes me laugh that just about a year ago, I thought that Wendy's chicken nuggets were good for me because they had some protein in them!
Gosh how the world looks when not looking through Rose colored 'marketing' glasses.
