I thought it was scary too (the last two major haunting scenes were cool). Didn't sht my pants or anything, but it's better than most imo.

1) Uneducated and a young mind
2) Trying to act 'tough' and blocking anything out/ laughing
3) Those kinds of people who think a scary movie needs huge visual effects like crazy aliens/monsters/etc. This movie is simple and realistic in terms of paranormal activity, which heightens the fear when watching it. Knowing something is based on true events make's it better.

**** freaked me out......i saw all the ending and to be honest the online version is better than the theatrical ending. Not to mention I have a crawl space in my closet that made it worse.

The creepiest parts of the movie were when the girl just gets out of bed and stands there staring at her husband sleeping for hours.
And...Spoilers below...
When she kills him at the end and just rocks back and forth all night and day.

i actually really liked this film.
i didnt watch any trailers or really knew any of the hype going in which i think helped.
definitely not a cinematic masterpiece by any means, but they do a great job of building suspence and the last 10 minutes or so....yikes.
spoiler....
the loud steps coming back up the stairs at the end...i could hardly breathe haha. im getting shivers just typing this now...
excellent stuff.
