Tragic
I live five minutes away from Fort hood. What happened was horrible. It has devastated A LOT of people. I strongly feel like it could have been preventable. I'm annoyed about the fact that he was a mental health doctor who needed counseling while he was trying to become a psychiatrist! Six months before he did this the military found postings of suicide bombs info on his computer. There were so many red flags going off. He should of known the warning signs. He should of received help. People will always make fun of what is different from them. It's not a reason to kill.
I am proud that all of the soldiers there were so quick to help anyone that was wounded. Also, so many many people immediately went to our local hospitals to give blood.

Why aren't people condemning Obama and all of these people who say "Let's not speculate on his motives. Or, what kind of psychological situation causes a person to be like this." This issue is not psychological, it's philosophical (ie religious). He was motivated by his views. This is obvious since he was shouting Allah Akbar while shooting, and had a long history of being against these wars for Islamic religious grounds. Many Muslims believe God's law is higher than the constitution, or any laws created "by men" so this is not surprising.
