I think I would rather face the saints. It's nearly impossible to keep AD in check when there's a capable guy behind center. Rice is emerging as a great possession wr and Harvin is nearly the big play threat that Desean is. That last playoff game with the vikes was pretty tough, they're wayyy more threatening now. We've also already faced the Saints once already so we'd have a better idea of how to stop that offense.
QM isolated against anyone will be a good match up for the cowgirls, hopefully they don't' have much time to throw. And it's time for Sean Jones to make some plays on the ball like his Cleveland days.
|
Yep, I think its humerous. If the win they super bowl, automatically their fan base and the new bandwagoners that come to the SB winner will think their franchise is relevant. It isn't and everytime they try to say a conference is "better" than the Beast, it doesn't matter because the rivalry here are legendary.
You are right about the Saints, now that I think about it more, it would be eaiser to play them because Sean McD will have all weapons available and have more experience and a WHOLE season of tape on them. Plus the changes on our Oline and additions of Spoony and re-emergence of Sean Jones and a DMac with a more experienced JMAC and DJax could make that game more interesting that game might be better fought by us.
Time to bring the pain the the Plowboys

I was thinking about next season and we're going to have a pretty stacked team. Bradley will be back, Andrews will be back, Ingram will be back, and not to mention whoever we draft
If Ingram lives up to the hype (which I think he will), we will have some deadly duos with Celek/Ingram, Jackson/Maclin, and Westbrook/McCoy
But then again injuries fuk us over every year

Only if there isn't a cap man, otherwise we have a ton of FAs. Either this off season or next off season we'll have to resign Avant, Gocong, Justice, Weaver, Sean Jones, maybe Hobbs, and I'm probably missing a couple guys. Anyways, temper your expectations because it's hard to keep improving when you play at a nfc championship level.
lol I keep forgetting about Shawn Andrews...If he comes back great, I'm not holding my breath tho. I'm also looking forward to Ingram, but I'm glad that I was wrong about Ingram being better than Celek.
Thinking of the future draft, what positions do you think we'll target? It seems like the only flaws on this team (if we sign the majority of those FAs) is LE, FS if Demps/Macho don't work out, SS for Mikells replacement (he's about 30) and corner due to our aging starters. Lots of depth in the form of lbs and rbs too. Maybe a big possession wr to develop too. I don't think we need to talk Oline yet, especially if Shawn comes back. What really seems exciting about this draft is that we can finalllllly trade up for an elite talent like Berry since we don't have tons of holes on this roster. Well, it might be hard to trade up with the 32st first rounder...oh wells.

I think he, himself is making this transition. He is a smart guy and I am sure because his play is talking, he doesn't have to talk it up. I do think he listens to the other guys and vets handle the media, so, I think he is changing up his style based on that.
If you notice all Eagles players/coaches press conferences styles are similar. I think that is due to the abrasive nature of the Philly media.

We're always bound for a November skid
Last years was pretty bad, losing to the Giants, tying the Bengals, and getting destroyed by Baltimore
But then we made it to the NFCCG so it was all good

Would you be opposed to trading up for someone like Berry? And if you watch college football, you have any guys you want the FO to target early or late?
Yeah no doubt he'll mature, and I like the whole god blessed me and everybody's great and everything's wonderful thing but sometimes as a fan you want that juicy unadulterated interview that's just brimming with pro eagles controversial stuff. Anything short of Ocho Cinco is alright with me lol.

If we could get Berry that would be awesome but I think he's gonna be a top 5 pick

Hmmm haven't been watching college lately but I think we will draft a line man first unless their is a REALLY good player on the board.

I don't want to paraphrase an already paraphrased article:
"In the article, it talks about how Bradley and Ingram are already almost running etc. at full speed. Also, that the whole season, they are doing drills vs. each other. Bradley is building back his muscles around covering a tight end (not to mention honing that aspect of his game). Can you imagine how many less yards/td's the D would give up?"
This seems like something that could pay major dividends for his te coverage next season.
http://boards.philadelphiaeagles.com...owtopic=564824
And an absolutely epic Harbaugh quote:
Asked why the Eagles have had so much success from 1999-2008 and the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game during that period, Harbaugh had this to say:
"Why is that? Because what Andy Reid and his program stand for if the opposite of what the Cowboys stand for. The Cowboys are a star system. It's all about building around individuals first and collecting talent, collecting great players. Andy has always been about building a team. And over the long haul, it's a team sport, and one of the greatest examples of that is what's happened with the Eagles and the Cowboys over the last 10 years. The Cowboys stand for everything that's wrong with the NFL."
If that's not bulletin board material I don't know what is.....
Also anyone nervous that Fokou could be starting in place of Gocong? Our run d is sure to suffer tomorrow...
