Leaving 2 cats on there own for 3 days?

I was thinking about making a massive pile of dried food which they could come back to whenever they wanted.

Would this be ok? I know its a bit on the cruel side but its desperate measures

They'll be fine, Just give them one large bowl of food and a really large bowl of water/multiple bowls of water. I've left my cat alone for 2-3 days a couple times. She actually ate less then when I was at home. When I'm home everytime I go into the laundry room(where her food/water is) she'd run and follow me in there and eat. If I never go in there she only ate in the morning/at night.

If you absolutely can not get anyone you trust to check on them once a day, leave a day or two's worth of wet food out, they get water from that.

Also leave the toilet bowl seat up and introduce them to it as a source of water, in case they bat around and spill the water dish you leave out for them.

Flush the toilet first.

lol get an automatic pet feeder. awesome investment. my cats know it goes off at 7am, 2pm, and 8pm and sit there patiently waiting at like 1 minute till. lol notice the time

I've left my 2 cats for a week long vacation a couple times already. You need a spare litterbox or 2 for those occasions. The big feeder and water bowl work nice. When I come back they're like "Who the phuk are you?" j/k, they're happy to see me.

Conclusion: they'll be fine

I had a 2 bd apt, and i had 10 days of leave. i couldnt find a pet-sitter for my cat. so what i did was, i had a spare bedroom, and i poured a whole bag of cat food in a corner, then i took all the bowls in my house and filled them full of water. , i locked that lil fuker in there and took to the skis....



when i came back, i opened the door, and almost feel to the ground gasping for air due to the smell of **** and piss. i sent my ex wife in there to clear it out and i went to the store and got some beer .

my house smelled like shit for like a month.
