Eating fruit alone or with other foods?....I'm taking a poll.......lol
I just read an article which said the following :
"Fruit digests very quickly compared to other foods, and is very sugary and therefore 'ferments' in your stomach. This is fine normally, but if you eat fruit after eating a lot of other food that digest more slowly, then the fermenting fruit sits in your stomach a lot longer, and can cause bloating, gas and discomfort."
I've read about this before and also some other opinions that are related to proper food combining. I'm not too sure what to think about it because so many people combine fruit with other things such as protein shakes for example. So how many of you agree with the idea of eating fruit by itself?

I say do what's right for you rather than what the article says. For me that means not eating an apple on an empty stomach as it'll tear my stomach up.

^^^^^^
This. FBM has that reaction and mine is different!
I don't mix my fruit anymore after years of thinking fruit just gave me the burps. Then I started noticing that when I ate just fruit, no burps! So, I just eat fruit all by it's lonesome now. LOL.

Eating fruit alone just makes me hungrier than I was before.

I have always been ok with eat fruit with other stuff and sometimes I put a banana in my cottage cheese. You should not worrie/care about the article unless you have a problom with bloating and your trying to find out why.
