what are you talking about? Every city that hosts the olympics is driven into borderline bankruptcy.
Salt Lake City and Greece are good examples of this. They have to use their own money to built these multimillion dollar facilities (not to mention security) that are only used for a couple of weeks, then they sit and rot. Even with the increased tourism to the city, its not enough to pay for everything.
