If Cust was a lil younger and Mike not so insane this story would have had a fairytale ending.

this .. but i don't think Cust would have let things get out of hand with mike even if he was that insane ... I mean .. from a lot of interviews Mike said Cust was like his dad so i don't think that he would want to let him down IMO ..

Yea those old interviews make it seem like Tyson would do anything to keep Cust proud. But hell, my dad is the only male whose opinion matters to me and he and I don't always see eye to eye. And I've never been heavyweight champ or a psychopath.

But yea, if that old man stuck around a little longer, Tyson would have been different skill+mental.

i believe mike would have been in the top 5 (maybe even top 3) GOAT if

his coach/mentor/father Cus D'amato didnt die so early in his boxing career
his manager jimmy jacobs didnt die so early in his boxing career
kept the same trainers keven rooney and teddy atlas
never met don king
never met deserie washington
never went to prison

if Cus didn't die he never would have done **** with Don King, nor would he have went to jail. Tyson was a different, humble man, when Cus was alive.
