Knee Dislocates During Workouts!
Whenever I'm doing grappling and I turn on my left knee, it pops out of place. It doesn't hurt until I go to straighten it out and I can get it to about 75% of full extention and then the pain kicks in.
But I can easily move it back into place by pulling my foot towards my head like I'm going to put it behind. And it's good to go until I turn again. But there's no pain until I go to straighten it out.
Also, when I'm walking up stairs, my knee cracks with every step, same thing if I get out of a chair. And lately, when I'm walking and I turn, it will pop. Today it did it at the gym and my leg almost gave out on me.
Any idea what this could be? I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow morning and get an appointment to have it checked out.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like your subluxing it, and you have some sort of instability.
Go see the doctor, do what he tells you, nobody on here can tell you what a physican can.

Yeah, I'm calling him first thing in the morning. I plan to get it checked out, I just wanted to see if anybody on here had ever had something similar happen and what the diagnosis was or if anybody had any ideas what is causing it.

Probably some sort of ligament instability. Depending on where the subluxation happens, thats probably where the ligament is unstable.
I'm not a doctor nor do I strive to be one, so I have no idea if I'm correct, this is just my own personal knowledge from an Athletic Injury class I took and what seems to me to be the problem.

Went to the doctor and I have a tear in my Meniscus. I go in for an MRI on Tuesday and they are going to schedule the surgery after that.

Not a surprise, I had a friend who's shoulder subluxed quite regularly and via a MRI discovered there was a tear in his Labrum.
You may not have to get surgery depending on the severity of the tear, but if you do go under the knife, best of luck to you.

I found out it's not dislocating. The part that tore is getting caught in the knee joint which is why I can't fully extend my leg when it happens and why there isn't any pain. And when I move my leg a certain way, it comes out of the joint and I can extend it again.
I'm actually the one who wants to get into the surgery quickly. It's holding me up from doing martial arts competitions and I want to get it over with before it gets worse.
