my opinion depends on whether or not he finds a way to push through the healthcare reform including a public option. other than that i think hes being an administrator more than a president.

If you think he can turn around in 1 year what took bush 8 years to do, you are crazy. The real estate market has started to turn around and the stock market is seeing positive gains. That's a start and there is more to come.

While Bush did little to alleviate the real estate disaster, it went bust due to policies inacted during President Clintons term - can't really blame Bush for what Clinton started.
You also seem oblivious to the fact that Bush didn't have 8 years of 'free rein', the Democrats controlled both houses of Congress the last 2 years of Bush's Presidency. They are to equally to blame for those last 2 years.

For starters the Community Reinvestment Act (1997), basically it forced lenders to lower the credit score standards for acquiring a new mortgage.
