Does it matter what type of fats?
So on a keto diet, fat is the main source for energy. So does this mean we can consume all types fat? Trans Fats / Sat Fats?
I been trying to look at articles for source of fats to eat on a keto diet but can't find much information about it.
I am trying to bulk with this diet... just as a experiment.
So does it matter what types of fat I eat at this point?
Also, Whats a good source of food for this diet?

I think you mean no trans fats. saturated fats are fine and necessary.

There is not scientific foundation for making this statement. If saturated fat were unhealthy, why would your body choose this as it method of storing energy for later use? By definition, any low-calorie or weight-loss diet is high in saturated fat as the fat you burn to make up the rest of the calories needed for your body to function is saturated.
The only fats to really avoid are man-made trans fats and processed vegetable oils like canola, soybean, etc.
I agree that eating almonds and fish oil is good for you (and I do so every day), but so is eating the natural saturated fats in grassfed beef and dairy, eggs and coconut, amongst others.

Well according to keto diet calculators, @ a weight of 173, I'd need around 201-240 grams of fat per day. I just don't know if I can eat that much almonds in a day...
and yeah, fish oil is definitely good for you. Doesn't have any calories though.
The main problem im having is finding a good source of these fats.
Almonds, flax, avocados, fish oil just don't seem enough to cover 240grams... unless I eat insanely large amounts

Sat fats raise testosterone.
Agree with phabphour...they should account for roughly ~20% total fat intake.

I read what you wrote... And I know how keto works. I read the book again last night...
I don't know what you're talking about. I'm agreeing with you in that saturated fats (ie. the animal fats you were reccomending) are good.

I think he is arguing with your contention that only 20% of fats should be saturated. He believes that number should be much, much higher.
Personally, not that anyone asked, I think the amount of saturated fat you eat should be dictated by your tastes. If you love to eat a good grassfed steak with lots of butter on top, then go for it. If you prefer a big salad with avocado and walnuts dressed in olive oil, then fine. I think a good mix will be achieved naturally if you stick to healthy, real foods like meat, eggs, nuts, vegetables and fish.
Cheers,
PP

I suspect you are using the wrong calculators. Try 1g of protein per pound of lean mass. That's 30% of your calories. 20g of carbs and the rest should be fat. You'll find that the number of grams of fat is very similar to the number of grams of protein.

Eggs and meat. Coconut oil. A bit of cheese and butter or cream to fill the gaps, but mostly eggs and meat.

I said that jaim because
1.) You would have to take 20g of fish and 20g flax oil + eat fish daily + 1 avocado a day ( 30g or so fats ) olives , nuts and eggs and then the remainder fatty meat .>> As your general good fats 80% rule ..
Myself I enjoy burgers w/cheese n mayo / broccoli n cheese / heavy cream in my coffees n tea / steaks n Lamb n Briskets / eggs w.cheese cooked in butter ....
2.) Saturated fats from meat are what keeps your hormonal levels good on Keto AND 3.) meat fats are the same type of fat that you body holds onto tight . So to tune your body to burn bodyfat - A LOT OF THE FAT YOU EAT should be "bodyfat"
along with some evoo , nuts , avocado and fish oil .. macadamia oil n flax as well if you like
the bad fats ( not including trans fats ) rule does not apply in the absence of insulin e.g. doing a Ketogenic diet
Taking Efa's is always a wise choice though yes - fish oil ranks highly with me
