I agree with the Monday and Thursday idea. That might be better.
Also, working it two times a week is a good idea. It's impossible to overtrain on a typical bodybuilding split. Personally, I would get better results if I lifted 5 days a week, lifting upper body 3 times a week and lower body two times a week.
