vote for one of the following team defenses. I got rid of absolute stats and normalized everything across 15-game schedules to protect the innocent.

also removed absolute passing and rushing yardage stats since they are EXTREMELY skewed (i.e. rushing yards in the 60s and 70s >>> 2000's, vice versa for passing)

To make it easy, I won't force you to guess the EXACT year of the Steelers defense, since they have, literally, 5 different seasons which they produced stats very similar to these ones (and interestingly enough, those 5 different seasons span 3 different decades...neat!)

some factoids about the teams:

1) one of the defenses did not yield a single offensive TD in half of the games during the regular season

2) one of the defenses produced at least 4 turnovers in 8 of their games

3) all 3 of the defenses got lit up once during the regular season and yielded 30 (or more) points and 400+ yards of offense. One of the teams got lit up for over 500 yards of total offense in a single game

4) one of the defenses produced turnovers in every game during the regular season. The other 2 defenses produced turnovers in all but 1 game during the regular season

6) one of the defenses was gouged for a 110-yard rushing game by an opposing RB, but only gave up 16 yards passing

8) one of the defenses gave up 105 yards passing on the day, and a net total of 4 yards rushing

9) each team posted consecutive shutouts during the season. one of the teams had multiple streaks with consecutive shutouts

AFAIK, they the 71 vikes only gave up 2 rushing td's.

Team A = Bears (3 votes)
Team B = Steelers (21 votes)
Team C = Ravens (7 votes)

unfortunately, a few things gave the Bears away, namely the high # of sacks and the high # of points allowed.
