Tartar = Tatar There are two different spellings.
Welcome to the thread.

I just realized I wrote "let see" instead of "let's see" in the very first post of this thread. Brb grammar policing myself

There were quite a bit of Turkmen exchange students in my HS. Most were good kids, and a few were ripped as hell. I was close friends with one, but kinda lost touch after HS. This was before facebook etc existed. lol

What? Tartar in my language is a kind of sauce similar to mayonnaise that you eat with meat in breadcrumbs.
We just say tatar to Tatars...but we are not really friends with 'em again due to history, although I have never met one in my life...

Don't tell me you donno this series! It is the same as Sex in the city just it is about the teenage children of rich families in NYC. And there is a Girl who calls herself Gossip Girl who reports about the latest gossip...just your average series, which is OK for girls but I am surprised that a guy watches it

Actually I was very biased about this series. Some of friends are watching this series. I was like "Come on dude, grow up, it is so girlish ". Then I gave it a try in my free time. That is the last thing I remember before I became an addict to this series.
Actually, when I watch this series, I feel like if I were very rich and living in Manhattan, I would have the life that is being displayed in the series. The series is so meaningless but I enjoy watching. Besides my favs'(Chuck, Lost) new episodes have not started yet. Maybe I quit watching when they start.

Ben pek TV seyretmiyorum, ama hem Lost hem de Prison Break'i sezonlar bittikten sonra DVD'de kiralayip seyrettim. Lost'un son sezonu bir kac ay sonra cikiyor.

Well I loved watching it too but I am a girl, I loved Sex and the city and Lipstick Jungle too!
OK I mean of course you can like it, just I donno what a guy can like in the parts "Oh I love you but your past is haunting us, I cannot be with you when there are lies between us" and other crying scenes
Well if the upper east side life is like how they portray it in Gossip Girl, then I don't want to be rich...a bunch of spoilt brats doing nothing just drinking all the time and spending huge amount of cash on doing nothing.
I did love Lost though...but I discontinued watching it bcs I missed some episodes and then I didn't continue anymore...But I might download the whole series someday. And me and my flatmate watch Dr.House every week just as a ritual and sometimes Desperate Housewives. Other than that I am not the TV watcher type nowadays, in HS I used to watch at least 4-5 hours TV every day. Now I only watch sports...and cooking shows.

I dont watch TV either. I download my fav series and watch them without advertisement breaks Btw I realized that I like Gossip Girl as a whole. Not only hot girls but the story is also good and interesting. It can be because of the fact that they are total stranger to me. Maybe I will start watching Sex and the City in the future. But I must admit that I like all the teenager stuff. When I was a child and we come to Turkey in summers, I spent my mornings watching some Maria Mercedes, Luz Clarita stuff. I still remember them. Latin soap operas were great also.
