Im not going to spend the time looking him up but this is the soccer/futbol player correct? Doubt he lifts much more than some simple compound lifts, this comnined with a lot of cardio give him his look. Several friends play soccer and a friend of mine is a soccer coach, all do very simple basic lifts and do not lift for very long or very heavy.

yes that is who I am talking about...so he seems to be very balances muscularly so could you get that way only doing some light squats, benches, and pull-ups with all the cardio

Yeah, I did a google search to find some images of him, im not seeing anything spectacular on him. Couple of things, 1. He is a very elite athlete, now not all elite athletes have great bodies but a lot do and this leads me to my next point 2. He probably has great genetics, there are some people that never hit the weightroom but because they play baseketball, soccer, hockey, whatever they will have great bodies, they are getting enough cardio and other movements to sculpt their body.

I actually played competitive soccer my whole life and in had a couple contracts to play professionally over in serbia...the past 2 years I have let myself go and drank a lot and did not watch my diet. I am naturally an ectomorph but I just bulked up 15 pounds over the past 8 weeks form 159-175. How do you think I could go about reaching his kind of body. Would it just be a lot of running and calisthenics or keep lifting and diet off the fat. Thanks

if he is a professional soccer player (and i assum he is bc he is on google and yahoo) then he does lift weights! genetics only carry people so far! his weight program prob has alot of high reps and is also prob alot similar to an mma fighters than any other sport!

He basically has an olympic 100m sprinters build doesn't he? But slightly smaller.
I would sprint and lift weights like a sprinter if I wanted his build.

im from scotland bud and watched ronaldo many times play for man u and takin his top off and he's ripped. most all the pros are like that. they have the best off the best workin for them. fitness people. diet people and the best off gym equipment. the best thing u could do is save a wee bit off money and go with a personal trainer and make a start that way. pick up things over time and if u put your mind to it. you'll get what ever u want.

Soccer players run a lot, miles on a per day schedule if I am not mistaken, hence the ripped look they carry.

ditto. they are professionals, and they are backed by professionals.
if you train like a body builder, then your going to add weight similar to a body builder.
if you train like an athlete then you will maximize your body.

the one thing I noticed about him is he has a very strong back and decent shoulder size and I would imagine anyone could develop that with the correct lifting right? I am not trying to be a huge bodybuilder just lean like that but with some muscles to show for.

He maintains a weight of 175-180lbs with a strong base of endurance and a sick sprint speed. He is physically STRONG.
I believe his workout consists of something along the lines of a basic rippetoes w/ some extra soccer related lifts. He just looks pretty muscular with 5-7% fat.
I'm a soccer player and I run cross country workouts in the morning and lift using a modified rippetoes in the afternoon 3 days a week. Ball work every day. Maybe I'll end up looking like him, maybe not.
Oh, and creatine is the best thing a soccer player can take.

Cristiano isn't even built. He's in shape because of all the running, but he barely has any muscle.
I'd rather look like this.

Honestly I think it's all natural. You can easily get a better body then him by doing intermediate bodybuilding.

Apart from C. Ronaldo's neck/lats- he's not very built. He looks good (no homo) because he runs like mad and has very little bodyfat.
And btw- he can't out sprint most of the top football players when they were in their prime. The fastest soccer player was Thierry Henry, not for being the fastest sprinter but for the way he moved with the ball at his feet. Cristiano only had fast feet but was never really a fast sprinter

He just does your basic strenght training and loads and loads of cardio. If you do enough running and enough ball work + a little strength work you'll end up like him.

Henry was not the fastest, and CR7 is fast not just quick. Fastest players are Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa), Eto'o in his prime, Lahm, and many others.
