where did you get that from? its impossible to gain 35 pounds of muscle in a year no matter what you take.
as for calories, i have no idea, just followed this carb cycling diet each type of day varied anywhere from 2500-3000 cals.
IMO the type of calories matters more than the amount of calories. but going back to the basics, you need to burn more than you intake. like i stated before i did cardio twice a day for 30-60 min per session depending on how much time i had
