Why is this place called the Over 35 misc?
Why not the Over 40 or Over 45? Why Over 35?
Is Over 35 the age top men decided was old? If so, dammit I'm right there.
Rage!!!

If you don't know the reason the number 35 was chosen then there is no help for you or anyone else. However, since I am in a generous mood today due to the YANKEES destroying the Phillies I will TELL you all the truth.
There was a tremendous meta-study started about thirty-five years ago on the long-term effects of doing curls in the squat rack or doing them on the Smith machine. (Results were inconclusive by the way...).
Ryan DeLuca is 35 years old.
It's been 35 years since the Chicago Cubs have come close to anything resembling a team that has all its balls in place.
NapalmFire--a longtime poster on this forum--is thirty-five years old.
The average IQ of people serving in any government position in any gov't office in the world is....ta da...35.
There is a pattern here; all one has to do is look for that "hidden agenda" and voila! You have the answer.
(P.S. I have no idea if anyone named "NapalmFire" truly exists. If he/she does, then my apologies!).

You know what's ironic? In 4 years, I don't know if I'll still have enough material to post in here.

It wasn't always like this.
We had nice things back then.
There was just one over 35 section and we all got along, maybe a little too well once people started hooking up on here.
Then teh newbz came.
They didn't have it in them to chat about bodybuilding all day while they were @ work and wanted to bring other issues/ideas to the table.
The old schoolers of bb.com in this section became rather pi$$ed, many left but were quickly replaced by more newbz who don't know how to read the stickies of this section (rules, top post in every section brah ).
Then a certain pipe wrench wielding forum member had an "altercation" with another forum member and that turned sh*t upside down real fast.
Hence the over 35 misc section was spawned.
Now, if you're asking about the age requirment itself...
the theory is that one must have had to undergo some maturation process during life that somehow made you smarter, wiser, and thus seperated one from the immature.
and that this process takes place @ age 35, come hell or high water.
I see a paradox.
We say "over 35" to insinuate maturity.
and
we have the regular MISC section that wreaks of immaturity.
So this would make the over 35 misc section the section for immature mature people?
or mature immature people?
I are confused.

http://www.aboutjoints.com/patientin...lifeexpect.htm
When you are born, the average male life expectancy is 71.8 yrs. I think 35 and up is much easier than 35.9 and up (assuming we are in the bottom half of our life expectancy)
If you are single, your life expectancy would be much higher (I kid ladies, I kid)
