so my calves are small and for the last month ive been smashing them 3 days a week, 8 sets each day i train them and in a months time they have become really vascular but still small..is this the first sign that their growing? Is it normal for calves to become vascular this quick with a solid one months training?

Ide slow it down to 2x a week unless your on gear bro. Gonna over-train hitting them hard 3x a week..... I have the same issue, my calvs are WAY behind everything else and grow SUPER SUPER slow.. It sucks!

yeh i was thinking of slowing the training down to 2 days and do 10 sets on each calve day.
Mine are pathetic 14" calves...oh well at least they are vascular and lean
ill do 4 sets of like 20 reps with a lighter weight and then 4 sets of about 8 reps really heavy. I hold the contraction at the top of every calf raise as well for a second and squeeze.

I get calf compliments, and I never ever count reps on calves. I have always basically gone until I can't do another single rep.
I usually train calves 2x a week, a combination of standing calf raises, seated calf raises, and leg press calf presses. I also believe that HIIT sprints help develop calves more than any calf raise.

well everygirl is different, im sure there are some who care and then others who dont care as much. Id love to have big calves one day though...think genetics have screwed me with calves though

I got the same problem brah, its genetics. The muscle is also positioned high on the calf (ie: chicken legs) And from my experience calf raises have never produced the grow as sprinting does.
