Well....this ends a 10 week run of DC. Happy with the progress I've made and I'll post up the progress mad from week 1 to week 10 on this set of three exercise days.
Not much else to comment about. Will lift a couple of days per week with high reps and no where near failure. All straight set work. I'll do that until I get back from Myrtle Beach on the 16th then start another cycle of DC likely.

Hey Ed, you have to be happy with that.
A great session to end the blast and strong progress over all exercises for the blast.
Enjoy your break and have some fun at Myrtle Beach

I am happy with it Al. I'd be foolish not to frankly. Looking to cruise for a bit now with some lifting, cardio and doing my best to keep my diet in check.
I'm actually going back to work with Skip Hill from over at IM.com. He helped me quite a bit last time getting me down to ~218 and more lean. Goal now is to stay at around that same weight and get even leaner if that's at all possible on this endo frame of mine. Also talked with him about all the single set work I've been doing for over a year now and wondered if we might approach lifting a little differently this time around. We'll see what he's able to come up with.
So looking forward to Myrtle Beach!

Hi, Ed. Good Deadlift vid!
By your summary, you've made substantial increases, and in the basic compounds, at that. Squat/Deadlift/Bench Press/Leg Press numbers don't lie. You're making good progress.
So, a coulple of weeks of deload, and then back to DC? Are you thinking of doing a cut?

You saying I'm fat!!
Just kidding. I'm actually hiring Skip Hill from IM.com who I worked with up until May of this year. I talked with him already several times about my goals. This time I'm looking to stay at my current weight of ~218 and get leaner. I've also asked him if he could come up with a plan that gets me away from single set routines which I've been doing now for over a year (his routine with me the last time I hired him and recently with DC).
Don't get me wrong....I love DC and will always come back to it but yes.....my goal is to cut right now without losing the pounds. A tough task but he believes he can help me do it. I'm not in a position to contest someone who has trained pros for competition.

You know what I find amazing sometimes. I've read everything from magazines to websites about how to train, form, routines, progression, etc., etc. Even though I've read what I've read, there are moments in my lifting that a light bulb goes off and brings me back to earth in terms of what I should be doing in the gym.
I lifted light today given I'm "cruising" the next couple of weeks. As I'm going along trying different exercises and weight amounts, I'm realizing just how good my form is. To the point where I was wondering why I don't work with this same type of tempo all the time. A kind of 2 second positive, pause and a 3 second negative.
I'll tell you why I was wondering it. Like many others, I get caught up in the amount of weight I'm pushing/pulling instead of what I'm doing with it. Don't get me wrong....my form is typically solid all the time but there is no way I get the same kind of tempo as I experienced today. It reminded me that in bodybuilding, it doesn't matter how much you lift, it matters how much you LOOK LIKE you lift. A mental note for future work.

^^^^This. It's another reason to deload regularly. Exercise form is something that requires constant attention. Just because we learn an exercise correctly doesn't mean we'll always perform it correctly. And this is especially true when you've been training for years, and are always working near limit.

Hey eddied27 thanks for visiting it's been way too long!
I have been slacking in here not only because of my busy schedule but have been enjoying awesome horizontal cardio with a certain someone who has a gynormous "unit".
As for updated pics, the most recent ones I've taken clearly show off the "girls" I don't want to get myself banned from here. If you'd like a private viewing to check out if I'm hot or not please let me know.
As for oozing sexuality - how can I not because I know exactly what I've got!!!! ME LIKEY LOTS

Hey Bill,
Got back yesterday and waiting on my new routine to get going hopefully by tomorrow. I re-hired Skip Hill to get me into shape like I've never been in before. Tough to do during holidays but I'm giving it a go. I'm praying that I stick to this this time around.
Ed

Hey Ed, good to see you back.
Looking forward to seeing your new routine, are you refreshed and ready to go?
It sure gets hard at this time of the year to be consistant with training, but more particularly with diet.

Comments:
Good to be back and I'm not going to let this workout discourage me as much as I could. I know I should expect some strength loss since it's been 3 weeks since the last time I did this set of exercises. Although that's the case, the weight/rep amounts above are actually less than what I started with over 10 weeks ago when I started my second "blast". Not a good sign at all going into this one.
I know Bill (ironwill2008) explained how it's to be expected but to have the #'s drop below where I was when I started the last "blast" back in Aug/Sept is downright discouraging and I'm sorry Bill but there has to be something else going on or I'm one weak SOB.
*insert whiny baby cry here*

LOL! Lighten up on yourself, Ed! Just watch how quickly you get it all back, and more.
