I agree. In fact, that's the only thing about nutrition I know for sure.
The key? Knowing how many calories you actually need. I highly recommend the free Total Metabolism Forecaster being offered by a bodybuilding.com member. You need to have Excel to use it, though. Here's the link (the download is on the page, you'll need to scroll down).

Three pics here
First is me standing with my size 62 pants. I'm size 40 now
Second is me inside the pants
Here is a facebook ppic of me wearing the pants last October.
Notice how tight they are? They were so tight I had actually popped the button on them 3 times and had to continue to replace it.
Side note, that coat is a 6xl the shirt I'm wearing in the 2 cam pics is a XL
So thats the change in one year I've made. Next year let's see where I can be.

As far as to "Keto or not" well that's personal preference.....I look at this as a life style change and I needed to change the way I ate.....Keto would not work for me because if I changed the way I ate for Keto, I know I would get bored of little to no carbs and in 3-6 months I would be stuck trying to figure out how to maitain my weight without Keto....I know a LOT of people who have had great success with Keto and they have been doing it for years.....so it's all a personal preference really.....give it a shot and see, worse that can happen is you don't like it and change to another routine.

BB Bench Press - 75 lbs-7-7-7
BB Incline Bench Press - 55 lbs-8-8-8
BB Military Press - 50 lbs-7-7-7
Triceps Pushdown - 50 lbs-9-9-9
Cable Triceps Extension - 50 lbs-9-9-9
I was supposed to do sets of 6 for bench and military press, but got a bit froggy and did sets of 7. It was fine. I'm getting ready to go do Insanity Cardio Abs.

My White Flood tub is almost gone I'm thinking of trying a new stack. Has anyone had any good results with a pre-workout supplement? If so, I would love to hear about it.
White flood was amazing, but I wanna try something else.

I think I want to change my goal for the end of December. I'm not sure... Maybe lose 0.5 -1 pound a week instead of 3. My strength is decreasing and it make me lose motivation. I was eating around 1500-1800 calories a day. I'm thinking about increase my calorie intake to 2000-2200. Any suggestions?
And btw, I gain 5 pound in 2 week... I hate hanging out with friend >.<
Oh and thorton, This is a SICK transformation bro!! Keep it up!

That's all you're eating. I'm eating 1700-1800 and losing on average a pound or so per week. I think you need to be eating more.

I think if your current weight now is 209, that your 500 calorie deficit should slide into about 1590 calories a day. Increase that if you weight train. Anything that is 2090 will keep you steady at the weight you are now and anything higher than 2090 will make ya gain.
My opinion is to go for 1-2lbs a week and inches. Combined your results will be perfect.

Anyone ever use the supplement "Animal Cuts?"
I've been doing some research on it, and it looks like a solid weight loss supplement! I haven't read one negative review about it yet. I will definitely be purchasing it. It's cheap too!

Here is a link if anyone is interested.

There is no way that is right. I am ~125 lbs and will maintain on over 2000 calories a day.

1 person's calorie intake is not the same for another, regardless of weight. Factors include exercise, metabolism, stress level, etc. For 125lbs and > 2k calories you are probably very active in life or have a high metabolism (or both, lol). A good way to tell how much your intake should be is to use an online food tracking program like fitday.com or something. Track what you eat for 2-3 weeks, in that time you should have eaten a wide variety of foods. If you are gaining weight, then take your daily intake and decrease by 250-500. Repeat for another 2-3 weeks. If you are still gaining, decrease again. if you are loosing, (which is great) then you can simply add half of what you originally subtracted to get your maintenance calorie intake.
Remember, this number will shift based on you activity level.

True, but I just can't imagine someone over 200 lbs gaining on only 2100, even if they are sedentary. I've heard of using 10xBW as calories for cutting, but never for maintenance. Maintenance I've usually heard is 15-18xBW, depending on activity.
Anyway, today.
SLDL - 190 lbs-5, 200-1
Lat Pulldown - 90 lbs-6-6-6
1-Arm Bent Row - 40 lbs-6-7-7
DB Upright Row - 20 lbs-11-11-11
Lying DB Rear Delt Row - 20 lbs-7-7
DB Curls - 20 lbs-3-2-1
Concentration Curls - 30 lbs-5-5
Probably won't do Insanity tonight. Need to study.

Yes that was based on a sedentary lifestyle, I should have been more clear and yes it does happen a lot I have seen for myself not just with myself, .
The numbers need to be increased or decreased diet and exercising pending.
If your caloric intake is at a 750 calorie increase over your weight, with an active lifestyle, then yes, you would maintain.
Although I lacked providing finer details, I disagree that:

Leg day yesterday. I really hate hamstring curls. It's like someone told you to go F yourself and you did.

So week 1 of November goal check.
1) Keep carbs around 150 g per day or less
6/7 days
2) NO JUNK FOOD
6/7 days
3) Two workouts a day, 6 days a week
6/7 days
4) Go to bed and get up at reasonable times
7/7 days
Not bad. I didn't get both workouts in Thursday as I was studying for the ACSM-CPT exam I had on Friday. Then, when I passed, I went a little over my carbs, 170 g. I had some junk food today. Girl Scout cookies. I LOVE Girl Scout cookies.

Heres my Contribution - Started sept 20 at 90kgs (198lbs) after a bulk gone wrong with lovely stretch marks.
Now at 77kgs(169.4lbs) Been losing average of 1kg per week along with 10pounds the first 2 weeks of dieting which was all my water weight most likely. And now have a 4pack showing for the first time in my life without any real ab work either (not defined)
Looking forward to the day i finish and the following year of bulking
